    I think it's a game, like bar skittles or toad-in-the-hole.

    Yeah, they do actually. They claim there's 7, but I think that's bcause they take cookies to the Catholic shouty family two doors down, maybe they shouted it at them. I haven't found 7 deadly sins anywhere.

    Teaching deadly sins isn't the usual practice of a gospel hall. The thing about a gospel hall is that they teach the gospel, they use the whole NKJV but they focus on the "Good News"

    Can there be any good news when people aren't warned about hell and a lake of burning brimstone and fire?

    You know what? You're right. I'm gonna go in that kitchen and cook a lovely meat-y dinner for myself and my father: because I'm overtly impressionable. Tanith is not a Jewish name, but I am Welsh by birth. And accent.

    I have a dilemma, You see, I have to babysit tonight for some disgusting adults who had a child out of wedlock. The woman has also had other children with other men. My father has told me to do so and therefore I must, since I'm his property, but how do I avoid going outside on my own? That would make me sinful in the eyes of the LORD, wouldn't it? My father has visited his friend, and will not be back till early am and we live alone.

    This "gospel hall" - do they teach deadly sins? That's like discussing degrees of uniqueness (a common ploy in communist circles from what I've heard). Are you Welsh?

    Gaze on this before you make a rash decision. Don't you just want to bury your face in there?

    Tanith sounds like a Jewish name.

    Actually, you may be right. I might be a filthy sinner, but I don't know any better because my Gospel Hall is a place where they condone veganism. They say God doesn't mind. Thanks for opening my mind, and my eyes, Mary!
    How do you interpret the 11th chapter of Leviticus? What do you think the LORD means when He tells us what we may eat? That we may eat meat, but shouldn't eat meat? That we may eat meat but He makes our digestive system incompatible with that meat?

    I think it is Satan who is stealing from you what is rightfully yours. A True Christian™ would take hold of her rights and eat steak, with a side of potatoes and Brussels sprouts, sautéd in fresh butter and pieces of bacon.

    Hello Tanith, and welcome to our friendly forums!

    Why do you not just pray to the LORD for healing so you can eat the food He so mercifully provides for man?

    Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
    And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
    James 5:14-15

    Hey there, I'm Tanith

    Tanith here! I'm not American, I'm British. Hopefully one day I'll have enough money to emigrate to the country God loves the most! I do have blonde hair and blue eyes, though. I don't eat meat, because I'm a vegetarian and I hate animal cruelty. I can't recall anywhere in the bible it being said that it was a sin to not eat meat, as it plays havoc with my digestion. Makes me vomit something awful. I'm an actress by trade, I hope that I won't be condemned for that.

    My favourite biblical verse comes from the Old Testament Book of Ruth, and I quote
    “Entreat me not to leave you,
    Or to turn back from following after you;
    For wherever you go, I will go;
    And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
    Your people shall be my people,
    And your God, my God.
    Where you die, I will die,
    And there will I be buried.
    The Lord do so to me, and more also,
    If anything but death parts you and me.” Verse 17.

    Unfortunately there are no baptist churches near me, so I am forced to attend a Gospel Hall. Twice on sundays and once on a Friday.
Working...
