    I feel bad.

I recently got into an argument with my wife, regarding the terrible job she did ironing my work shirts (I am in sales and need to look professional). She started back talking to me about how "hard" her day was. I got angry with her disrepectful tone, and hit her. I did it in anger, but a part of me felt justified due to shoddy work ethic. What does god think? Am I a sinner?

Well, Esox, it's disappointing to hear you hit your wife in anger. You should only hit her out of love, to correct her; because God says so, not just because you feel like it. Welcome to the forum, anyway. How about tell us what church you attend, what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

I attend St. Pauls Anglican in Whitby ON., My favorite quote is Psalms 23 4, which directly links in to your 3rd question.
My Epiphany came in November of 1999. I am an AVID fisherman. In Ontario the best time get trophies is in the late fall. It was one cold rainy november morning around 5:00 am I was towing my bass boat up Hwy #11 about 100km north of toronto. The roads were slick and I had to keep my truck around 80km/h (read 50 mph) to keep the whole rig from aquaplaning. A white sedan (a chrysler I believe) Came up WAY to quick behind me. After tailgating me for a few seconds the driver "put the hammerdown" and went to pass me. As she passed me she lost control of her car and went into a 360 in front of me. I was towing the boat so I had no way to manoever(sp) out of her way I closed my eyes and cranked the wheel. 3 or 4 seconds later I was sitting safely on the shoulder. I saw the speed and angle she was coming at me, there is no way (except divine intervention) that I escape a serious collision and injury. Her car was TRASHED no electrical (therefore no lights) on a pitch black foggy highway where the posted limit is 100km/h (read 62mph) I got out of my truck, grapped my emergency kit. got her out of her car and called police. on my 2lb cell phone (lol). As I wrapped a blanket around her she blessed me for saving her life. After all the drama once the police arrived and put out flares etc. I went on my way up to the lake. I had a lot of time to think that day about the events of that morning. and a warm glow started in the core of my being. That was the day that Jesus came into my life. Cheers J.

Well, Sir, you are obviously not a Godly man, as evidenced by the fact that you didn't capitalize "God."
Then, you didn't follow the instructions about how to introduce yourself.

It is evident that you are merely an abusive jerk.

You are trying to hide behind the Bible to justify domestic abuse. You make me sick.

You are right on the money, Sister! Does he really think he'll fool Jesus on Judgement Day?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

              Re: I feel bad.

Hitting your wife out of anger is so very wrong. Women are confused easily and she will think you do not care. All physical interaction with a female must be done with kindness and love. When my wife is struck, she knows I do it because I care so much. If I did not care, I'd leave her alone.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

You seem pretty confused to me. You came to a Christian site to discuss Jesus and the Bible yet you know nothing about Him or His Book of Truths(c).

No, it is Biblical. I am sure your son could confirm this for you.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
