    Hello all

As I grew up I have never been introduced to Christ, my life revolved around violence, drinking and drugs. My parents were rarely around for me and I was involved in a lot of things I am not too proud of.

I recently found myself at my lowest. I was on the street, no food and had just been beaten and mugged (dam black people). I did something I had never done before. I prayed. Fast forward to the next morning and I awake to someone offering me freshly baked bread. I had no idea who they were but they wanted to help me.

Since then I've decided to change my outlook on life. I have been clean and got myself a stable job. I feel good about myself from day to day. I havn't prayed since that night but I wish to follow Christ and learn more about what saved me. I googled around and came across this website.

I just wanted to leave this introduction to tell my story and ask what I can read up on to learn who has saved me.

    Many thanks,
    Timmy F.

Welcome, Timmy. You're not saved yet. You need to keep praying, start reading the Bible (1611 KJV) and following it, and find an independent Baptist church near you.

What kind of sins led you to be on the streets?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

      Re: Hello all

Welcome to our friendly forums! What you'll want to do now, dear, is read the Holy Word of God, that is, the Holy Bible! You'll want to read it from the very beginning to the very end! The only accurate version is of course the King James Version, and until you can procure yourself a hard copy, you can read it online for free! I would also encourage you to study our Bible In a Year section - there's so much good for a person looking for Salvation©!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

        Re: Hello all

Welcome, young man. I understand the Damascus moment all too well.

Many years ago, I chose to be queer, for a variety of reasons. But finally, staggering home at dawn after an all night Bukkake fest at a Reno flophouse (in which I was the designated recipient), I asked myself if this was really why I was put on this planet? Surely there must be more to it than the repulsive life of the fag?

I got on my knees on the sidewalk and asked Jesus to save me from the gayness and homo-rectal intercourse, and was cured of the filthy disease instantaneously, praise God. I let Jesus Christ inside me from then on, instead of anonymous strangers.

Stay strong in your personal relationship and walk with Jesus!

Welcome friend! Yours is a story I hear all too often. Many a young man has broken down by my side, sobbing inconsolably, my lap becoming soaked. Just know that all of The Men of Landover are here for you, day or night to fill you with the Love of Jesus.
Tell me friend, when you were at the lowest point of your miserable existence, what verse from Jesus had you drop to your knees before Him and open wide to allow Him to penetrate you?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Thank you, I will start to read it later today.

Although I do not like to admit it at a time I performed sexual acts with another man to get my fix. Although I am not a queer I was so addicted and the feelings I had got the better of me. After that I was on the street at my worst.

I knew no verses at my time as my parents would not allow me to see the side of God. Instead I just asked for help, forgiveness and for hope to turn my life around. My friend however recently pointed me to this verse which inspired me to follow in the holy path for eternal life with God.

            John 3:16
            (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

            Many thanks everyone,
            Timmy F.

Well Tim, I think this may be more apropos, don't you?

2nd Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

That is an excellent choice! As everyone knows most people will burn in Hell (Matthew 7:13-14). John 3:16 teaches us that only those who truly dedicate their lives to Jesus will go to Heaven and that the terrorists, the liars, the gays and the Obama voters will all get what they deserve. Eternal damnation in the fires of Hell! (Mark 16:16, Revelation 21:8, John 15:6, John 14:6)

You have reached out, and the Lord has reached back. You've been given a sign, and I urge you to follow the Path of Righteousness.

The Lord has given us the gift of His sacred Word to guide us through this terrible world of sin. I know there are all sorts of things on the Internet, but be sure to get a printed King James Bible as soon as you can and read it from cover to cover, again and again. It can be a faithful companion in times of darkness.

Of course, the most faithful Companion you'll ever know is the Lord. Study His words and love Him with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. Luke 10:27

Honor His Word, and he will never forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8
For every sinner who burns in Hell, there's a little more room for the rest of us in Heaven.

                    Hosea 13:11 Nahum 1:6 Isaiah 34:10 Revelation 14:11 Matthew 5:19
