Buddhism is a means by which the world is supposedly explained. Either this explanation is appropriate, or it is not. If you believe bits and pieces, it means you satisfy your ego by finding things that make you feel good and smart and emotionally secure.

I believe whatever I believe. I don't conform to religions because their set of beliefs are too specific and don't match my own. I say I'm part Buddhist because the Buddhist belief is the closest to my own. That is not to say I'm a Buddhist, so to simplify things, I say part Buddhist.

I actually have read bits and pieces of the Bible and the stories are actually very interesting. Not true in my opinion, but interesting nonetheless

You sound confused, sweetheart. On one hand, you pick bits and pieces of different religions and bash them as unreasonable and/or untrue. On the other hand, you want to pick other bits and pieces of the various religions and adopt them as your own for no other reason than the fact that they seem attractive to you at this time. 1 Corinthians 14:33 is a great verse for you to check out.

We are defending our Faith which has come under attack in this thread. So many come here, claiming they want to learn, only to turn around and throw off their sheep's cloak and show themselves as the Devil's wolves they really were from the beginning (Matthew 7:15). We won't stand for it.
