Hello! I'm pretending to be from Britain!

Hello, Landover Baptist Church forum goers!

My name is Kian, but everyone I know calls me Grimm. Why, you ask? It's because I have such a grim outlook on the world and life in general!

    I'm an anarchist, and I'm a nihilist.

This is what I look like.

I believe in who I am. And if there is a god, he loves me just the same as he loves everyone else.

You ask for my favorite verse, and here it is. I have read the whole Bible cover to cover a few times, and this one really stands out.

    Psalm 139:16

"Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."

You may think I'm making this thread in order to cause trouble. You may think I'm making it to spit in the face of god, or you, or whoever.

    But that's not the case.

I believe completely differently than all of you. But I want you to know that despite that belief difference, I wish you all the best. I hope your lives are happy, long, and fruitful.

    That is all.
Prov 26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

    Re: Hello!

If my barber had butchered my hair like that, I'd be grim too.

Tell me friend, why do you hate Jesus? He was a carpenter, not a barber.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hah, yes. Get the mohawk jokes out of your system. Everyone has them. They lose their charm quickly.

      I don't hate Jesus!

I have no opinion about the man at all, actually. I know he was a real man, historical records prove that. But as to where or not he was the Son of God, I have no opinion. I'm quite apathetic to the existence or lack thereof of a deity.

          Re: Hello!

I would just like to note that from this post on, I will not be defending myself or debating with anyone. I don't believe I have any reason to defend myself because I am confident in what I believe, and what people have to say about it won't change that anyway. So there's no point in me getting into a debate.

If you have comments or questions, I will answer them for a few hours. However I do not intend to be a permanent poster here, and once I log off it is very unlikely I will ever return.

Actually, I have a wife and have never had a homosexual urge in my life.

Her name is Jayne. We have two kids.

My wife loves me for who I am! How I dress has nothing to do with that.

And no, we'd just moved in when that picture was taken and I hadn't had time to hang anything up yet! Good work to notice that though.

I always find it amusing to hear one of you goths claim that you are totally unique snowflakes and then manage to dress, look and talk in the exact same way all other goths do.

But humor aside, your lack of certainty of Jesus' Godhood is distressing, Jesus Himself has said that doubt is wrong, and James shows shows us some of what is wrong:
                  James 1:6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Why not believe and become a good person? Don't you want your children to have a decent father they can respect?
                  Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Well, I'm a punk, first of all! But the distinction can be difficult to see for someone outside of the subculture, so it's okay! And I've never claimed to be a unique person. I simply am.

As far as my kids go, I'm not teaching them that Jesus is or isn't the son of God. They've asked to go to church a few times, and ask me lots of questions regarding God. Whenever they wish to go, I take them. If they wish to believe as all of you believe, I'd have no problem with that. I want them to decide for themselves what is or isn't the truth.

Friend, you are confused, aren't you?
Jesus is God who is the Holy Ghost. Since you acknowledge the existence of Jesus, you therefore must acknowledge the existence of God.

Read your Bible about the Trinity, friend.

                      John 10:30-36
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
                      35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

                        Re: Hello!

Let's assume you have smart kids and they do decide on what's right. It would be a real shame that you still force Our Father in Heaven to have them tossed into Hell for your sins.

See Exodus 20:5, Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18 or Deuteronomy 5:9 to read about that, and that is God being reasonable, for some sins, like being a bastard the punishment lasts for 10 generations: Deuteronomy 23:2.

For your children's sake, try to be a good man.

No jokes here, bro. Welcome to our friendly forums, created by Himself for the purpose of sharing His love and His Word with everyone, including you.

I hope you are aware that the LORD led you to us. While you may feel apathetic at this point, once you have experienced our love and kindness, you might just find yourself on your knees.

I will pray for you and hope that you'll stick around.
