    Sending out the wrong message?

    Hey guys,

Just joined today. Let me begin by saying how much I admire your commitment to Christ, and you are obviously very much devoted to doing His work, as the Father intended.

I am, however, a little concerned about the tone of some of the articles on your website and of the posts on this forum. Our mission as Christians is to win souls for Christ, right? Well, I gotta say I'm not sure you guys are doing it the right way. Telling everybody who you don't agree with is going to hell will not exactly be encouraging to seekers. We have to remember that we too were once like the pagans, wiccans, gays, Muslims, Hindus, etc. from the moment we were conceived. We are only saved BY HIS GRACE - and if God can save a sinner like me, he can also save folks of different religions (and different colours - I detect a slight disdain towards African-American in some postings).

I appreciate that you are doing a lot of good work in expounding the Word of God, but I would ask that you consider toning down the rhetoric. Remember that Christianity is all about celebrating the fact that God loves the world - and that means the whole world! So friends, let's remember to share some of that love and our joy in Christ with many of the seekers who drop by your site to find out more about Christ.

    Great Big Love,
    Jacques.
In Christ there is no East or West,
    In Him no South or North;
But one great fellowship of love
    Throughout the whole wide earth.

So we're supposed to lie to them and tell them they're going to Heaven when they're not?

We have to remember that we too were once like the pagans, wiccans, gays, Muslims, Hindus, etc. from the moment we were conceived.
Yes. I was steeped in sin once. Then someone told me I'd go to Hell if I didn't change my ways, so I did (change my ways, not go to Hell). You see now the importance of warning people about the consequences of rejecting God?

Oh, you want us to be lukewarm?
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

    Great Big Love,
    Jacques.
Welcome aboard, friend. I hope spending some time here will help you to see why we're right and you're wrong. Praise Jesus.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Yes. That includes every bit of His Word, not just the happy bits.

What would you suggest we tell them?

Please enlighten us with your methods, which must include lying since the truth is that everyone who doesn't follow God's Word IS going to Hell.
We have to remember that we too were once like the pagans, wiccans, gays, Muslims, Hindus, etc. from the moment we were conceived. We are only saved BY HIS GRACE -
No, we are saved by OUR CHOICE to ACCEPT His grace. Those who choose not to accept His grace are damned.
and if God can save a sinner like me, he can also save folks of different religions (and different colours - I detect a slight disdain towards African-American in some postings).
You mean the descendants of Ham? Cursed by God? Hmm.

We have no problem whatsoever with ex-Negroes. Race is not an issue, here, friend; rather, the Negroid culture of hip-hop, carjacking, pie-stealing, big-booty-shaking, and sensual jazz music is the issue.
I appreciate that you are doing a lot of good work in expounding the Word of God, but I would ask that you consider toning down the rhetoric.
Are you asking us to be lukewarm?

      Great Big Love,
      Jacques.
Where did you hear this hippie nonsense?!

God states clearly in His Word that He will condemn nearly every person He created to eternal torture in the flames of Hell; only those who come to Jesus in faith AND cease sinning will be Saved©! That's a TINY minority!

Do you claim that God "loves" the people He says He hates, and those He commands us to hate?!

      Psalm 139

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

This is not some ridiculous Hippie Lurve Festival. This is not Pastor Feelgood's church, where God's Truth is discarded and only the happy bits of the Bible presented.

Tell me, Jacques, do you believe that God demonstrated His love for all humans when he drowned everybody except Noah and his family? How about His love for all the animals, whom He also drowned in His effort to rid the world of the evil humans He had created?

Does that sound like this ridiculous "unconditional love" you're yammering about?
      Bible boring? Nonsense!

You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

Our Lord was quite blunt about it:

John 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I appreciate that you are doing a lot of good work in expounding the Word of God, but I would ask that you consider toning down the rhetoric.
Should Our Lord have toned down the rhetoric in addressing the Pharisees? Should He have been more touchy-feely with the moneychangers? Bringing people to salvations is not all daisies and kittens.

Remember that Christianity is all about celebrating the fact that God loves the world - and that means the whole world!
Psalm 5:5: The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

          1. Hi friend, unfortunately if you don't read the bible the same way that we do then you also are on the express train straight to hell.

          2. THAT is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard - I was NEVER a damned mohammedan, queer, fag, sissy or witch and you have no business calling me such - you don't even KNOW me.

          3. You might be on to something here.

          4. Let's try to maintain some degree of formality on this Godly forum please, we do not refer to our nigra friends by racist terms.....

p.s. What is your favorite Bible verse?
Isaiah 36.12 - But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

'Nigra'??? Are you serious? That's a REALLY offensive term to African-Americans, and is associated with the slave trade. If you are genuinely seeking to reach out and spread the love of God (like He told you to) - then PLEASE make an effort not to cause offense to those who are different to yourselves.

My favourite Bible verse is Romans 8:15:

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry,"Abba, Father."

Are you seriously suggesting that all black people are cursed because of Ham? That view is so outdated, and you will not find it supported by even the most conservative of contemporary theologians. If you are genuinely interested in learning more about this, read David Goldenberg's excellent book 'The Curse of Ham' (2003, Princeton).

                  Dear friend:

Why should we read what apostate, cafeteria-conservative "contemporary theologians" have to say about the Bible, when we can go straight to the source and read the Bible? Telling people to read the works of "contemporary theologians" instead of the Bible is something that homosexuals do to justify their outrageous behavior, and that isn't an example that we care to follow.

Also, in answer to your comment above about the slave trade, what is Biblically wrong with slavery?

With a name like Jacques, there is, by definition, some homosexual tendencies. Mercifully, most French people are able to ignore these urges, cast out the demons that cause them, and live for Christ. Jacques, your rather "liberal" leanings and your interpretations of the Holy Word of God to justify your more radical political beliefs is giving us some cause for concern. Please stay with us that we may show you through scripture what the Bible says. You DO seem to have an anything goes sort of attitude. Do you seriously believe you can do/be what you want and still be received by Jesus when the rapture comes? What kind of Christian ARE you?
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

Are you serious? I am sure most members of your church don't agree. That term is NOT acceptable in 99.9% of American churches and you should refrain from using it as it is highly offensive. END OF.

Jacques, your rather "liberal" leanings and your interpretations of the Holy Word of God to justify your more radical political beliefs is giving us some cause for concern.
'Liberal leanings'??? Puh-lease... OK, so I might vote for Barack Obama in 2004 (who is a better Christian than war-mongerer McCain). But that does not make me a liberal. And it will be the first time I voted Democrat since Dukakis in 1988. But 'radical political beliefs'??? Are you trying to infer I am some kinda communist or something? I will have you know I am pro-life, pro-family, pro-America, but I am also pro-peace. And that's why I'm voting for Obama, because he espouses the same values that Jesus Christ teaches.
In Christ there is no East or West,
                          In Him no South or North;
But one great fellowship of love
                          Throughout the whole wide earth.
                          (W A Dunkerley, 1852-1941)

Conducted a survey, have we, Mr. Harpy?

                            Wait, if you're pro-life, pro-family, pro-America, and pro-peace, how can you vote for pro-abortion, pro-miscegenation, pro-Muslim, and pro-terrorist Obsama?

That's what the Bible tells us, friend. They belong in slavery, where God put them. What right have we to speak against God's Will? NONE. None whatsoever! All negras will burn in Hell for disobeying his Holy word for every second they live in freedom!

Friend, we have nothing but love for these people. That's why we preach the complete 100% Bible truth. In the hope that these wicked negras, who hate our God, will return to their true positions. We want to help these darkies get to Heaven, and if the only way to get there is to return to slavery, then we are all for it. That's how much we care. Praise!
