My name is Ilaria. (I'm sure you'll have some kind of problem with that). The only thing you need to know about me is that I am a Goth, and as a Goth I know more about the Goth subculture than you people, like you, who haven't done their research about it or been involved in it. That is why I am here. That is why any Goth comes here. To set the record straight.

We do not "eat babies", at least not human babies. We do not abuse our children. We are not all Satanists. Religion has nothing to do with Goth; therefore, I will say nothing about my religious preferences. We are not all into drugs, self-mutilation. We are not all depressed. We are not all homosexual or bisexual. We do not all constantly wear black. And we do not all wear black make-up. Marilyn Manson, Black Metal, Death Metal (I've seen you use Marduk and Cannibal Corpse as examples of how Goths are into death and violent things.) etc., are not Goth music. We are not anti-social. We go to many different types of events, with plenty of other people in attendance. Most Goths are not violent. Most do not drink blood either. Goths are not all fat, most are actually skinny, and for the ones who are fat, at least they (usually) dress well, unlike other fat people. Goths are simply fans of Goth music.

I listen to Goth Rock, Gothic Metal, Funeral Doom, and Gothic Ambient. This, and this alone, makes me a Goth.

Anyone who does not listen to these things, yet claims to be Goth, is in fact a poseur. Whether they are knowingly posing or not.

All other music we may or may not listen to, or things we may or may not do, have no barring on whether or not an individual is Goth.

So lets move on by Goth you mean you are a Godless FemNazi lesbian? I have had many experiences with woman like you. I would love to invite you to one of my prayer groups so we can help you with your problem. I have no doubt you can become an acceptable Christian woman with the right surroundings. Your desire to engage in relationships with woman are very unnatural. Trying to rename what you do and call it "Goth" is easy to see right through. We are a lovely group, our only goal is to help. Plus if your lucky you will get to taste my cheery pie.

I neither said nor implied that Christianity is a race.

A name is usually an ethnic and racial thing. Christianity often made converts change their names because they were not "Christian" names. This is not just an affront to religion, it is to your heritage as well.

I will not change my name because an Italian name is not "Christian" enough for you. It is a real name and it is Italian. Implying it's not a real name or that I should change it to suit you is racist.
