I know you are from England and so, like 80% of the population, you may have some comprehension problems with written English. Which part of this did you not understand?

First let me welcome you to God's favorite forum!!!!!

Now I must warn you about somethings. First your name Geoff. I think the first think you need to do is change it. More like Jeff we tend to frown on Celts. They tend to be nasty people that are either Pagans, Wiccans, or worse Catlicks.


So the next question is which one of these creatures are you. The reason I ask is more than a few of God's favorite children have kindly asked you to follow the rules of God's Favorite Forum and follow the rules. We would love nothing more than to help you find God's love, however you are making this very difficult.

I was born and given the name Geoff and will never change just because "some "people on here want me to change it to Jeff!


After all who would give up their birth right up for a bowl of soup?!!


I haven't been to church for many years now Tara and in that space of time I'm very rusty on bible knowledge. I used to go to the church up the road from where I lived.(COE)


My favourite scripture has to be Rev 21 v1 to 4.

Quite right Geoff. That sort of nasty comment is a bit rich coming from someone called "Tara", a thoroughly Irish name!

A quick tip: if you quote Bible verses in this format, a nifty little pop-up link will appear enabling the UnSaved, who are less familiar with the KJV than we are, to read the text in all its Glory.

I am sorry that you had to suffer the CofE, possibly the only church in the world where a belief in any God at all is optional, and very much hope that you will find your true home here.

My sweet sister in Christ, Tara, was only trying to be helpful. Her name does not portray anything that would be probative of insincerity - indeed, she has learned from her studies of God's Holy and Infallible Word and shares her knowledge with all. There is vitriol in many congregations, unfortunately, and while ours is God's favorite, He isn't finished purifying some.

But let's focus on you, shall we? First, I think the name Geoff is a manly, impressive title. Were you brought to Jesus by a friend, a relative, or just what is your testimony of your experience with the LORD? I could sit and listen for hours - so please, share. I also would like to learn more of your family background. Have you a wife? Is she fair of face and capable of bearing you sons? If you haven't yet found someone, have you considered expanding your focus? Perhaps I can help, dear.

I am so pleased you're here with us and I look forward to seeing you grow and prosper in the King of Kings, our Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

I was brought up from a child into the C of E church and never practised religion seriously so my bible knowledge is very rusty!


I've been married before and have a lovely son who's 17 now and he lives with his mum as we are divorced. because of her adulterous behaviours we separated for many years and then I went back to her to give her another chance and again she sinned so I had to divorce her then.


I'm happy now and life moves on....I've got some great friends that have pulled me through!

Well, Geoff, you'll find many insights here to boost your knowledge of the Lord. I hope you'll get a copy of the King James Bible, 1611, and read it from cover to cover. There will be times when that's a struggle - but keep going through it, prayerfully asking God to allow the Holy Spirit to increase your knowledge. The Holy Ghost is the only ghost you should believe in. God loves to teach you as you go. Don't question Him. If He said you should do it, then it means you should do it. He will never ask you to do anything that is wrong. However, if you fail to do what He says, the consequences are usually catastrophic and end up with eternal flames. PRAISE HIM!
