Ok, I'll introduce myself. I was raised in a very strict Independent Baptist home, homeschooled my entire life, graduated from an unaccredited Baptist college. I am also gay, so my family has largely disowned me. I made two professions of faith, first when I was five, and then again during college, just to clear up any doubts. I was quite sincere both times, so, assuming one believes in the doctrine of Eternal Security, I have to be saved. However, although I do study the Bible occasionally for educational purposes, I don't currently attend church, and I consider myself basically agnostic.


Ok, there you go people, investigate me, red dot me, and then ban me to eternal damnation, haha. But until you do, I will be respectful on this forum, I always am.

Haha, wow, just when I think I've seen it all. I'm having a hard time believing that the people on this forum are real. I've heard some strong anti-gay rhetoric in my time, but this forum is just bizarre.


So you're a mother of seven? Would you kill one of your children if he/she told you he/she was gay?

I checked my Bible and I find no references to the doctrine of Eternal Security. Can you post chapter and verse, please?

Instead, my Bible says that agnostics will not go to Heaven. John 3:18. And that gaysexuals are damned to eternal Hell. 1 Corinthians 6:9.

This is why I am so grateful that you have come to Landover to help us to help you to find Jesus and his eternal conditional love. Otherwise, you are surely doomed.

Well considering I no longer believe in the Bible or in salvation, eternal security is basically a moot point. But some of the verses my old church would have used would be John 10:28-29, basically saying that once someone accepts Christ as savior, and Christ gives him/her eternal life, he cannot lose it.


Can I ask what style of Baptist people here are? Cuz I grew up in a rigid fundamental Baptist church, where movie theaters were sinful and girls could not wear pants. I would have thought that to be the conservative extreme of Baptist teachings. But every church I knew of believed in eternal security. I had no idea that there could be such an extremist Baptist sect as I find on this forum that wouldn't believe in eternal security.

I know her, and yes - barring secular law getting in the way - she certainly would. Godly True Christian™ parents know that they may well be required by God to exterminate their own beloved offspring...

Deut 21:19-21: 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

I'm sure you find this very amusing, but children of Godly families know to cower in fear for their lives when they transgress God's Law (which is why they tend to stop doing it).

Care to stop sinning and come to Jesus?

Oh trust me, I cowered in fear before my parents. Of course, my horror stories about getting spanked may seem tame in comparison to the practices of some of the parents on this forum, but I definitely received my share of corporal punishment. Lol, this site is actually making me start to appreciate the parents I had. Up til now, I thought they were extremely strict and unnecessarily harsh, but now that I see what parents I could have had, I'm thankful for my own. In fact, I may call them right now and apologize for the unkind things I've said to them and about them.

What gave you the idea I'm not happy? Sure, my life isn't perfect, but I'm definitely much happier now than I was when I was growing up. At least I no longer cry myself to sleep, lol

Without Jesus in your heart you cannot know love.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

How can anyone be truly happy if the do not know love? I know some atheists claim to be able be happy and know love but that is never true. Atheists who claim to be in love with each other are simply two obsessive stalkers who happen to be stalking each other.

Obsession is not love. There can be no love without Jesus as the Bible clearly tells us.

I'm not actually an atheist, because I think the idea of evolution is just absurd. I believe that something created us, I just don't believe that "something" is the god of Christianity. And I'm perfectly content with what I consider to be love and happiness.

Hello oldfashionedbrat.

If you know that something is wrong and you continue to do it you have broken any agreement you have with Jesus I have not heard it called Eternal Security.

The word security is only used one time in the King James Version Bible that is when Caesar got mad at Jason for calling Jesus a king because Caesar was also a king and Caesar thought he was the only king he sure was wrong about that.
