This is a Christian forum, where all things are based on scripture. Everything written here by True Christians is based on scripture. So, I do not understand the first part of your question.

The LORD has already done the thinking for us and conveniently put it all in one place for our reference. Why would any Christian not turn to the Holy Bible (KJV 1611) as a reference for any and all matters? We are warned explicitly against trying to think for ourselves. I personally have not had an original thought in almost eleven years. I praise Jesus every day for that.

I am not mentally ill because my opinions don't match with yours. I may be not aware about it, but maybe I was meant to spread a message of love and acceptance. Anyway if christianity means you have to be homophobic, racist, sexist and pro-rape; I do reject christianity because I don't agree with this opinion. I have spend my childhood on summer holidays wih my strongly religious godmother (almost a nun but without the outfit and she had her own home). I went to the church on Sundays and have been friends with 2 pastors. I could talk a lot about religion, and these three people were strongly tolerant. Maybe it's just that we don't have the same interpretation of the Bible. They are catholic, I think they find messages of love in the Bible and your "orientation" (because I don't know the right word) find messages of hate. Maybe that's where our opinions differ.

What if I liked this message of love? You see, on TV and on newspaper you will mostly see bad things, and I'm sick of it. In my idea of a beautiful world, positive messages are great. If God kicked Adam and Eve out of Eden, we can rebuild it in the whole world and make the place as beautiful as it is said, without strict rules, without inequalities, just room for us and happiness.
Maybe one day it will be possible, I've been hated and it made me hate the world. But I'm ready to forgive it and the world can be perfect if we reject negativity. Sadly it has become human to complain about everything but I believe that the world can evolve, one day it will be perfect. And from hell (because you think that's where I belong) I will smile when newcomers will tell me how beautiful the world has become. Because if God really wanted us to suffer for our sins, we will be mad that we made a painless world, like heaven on Earth, and he will send us to hell. But it was worth it because fire can't burn a whole happy life.

They tell you that you can confess your sins and all is forgiven. Even the mafia go to confession, confess their murders and frauds, say 3 hail marys, give a big fat donation and are told they will still go to Heaven. What about their pedophile priests. Science showed me that the Bible can't prove some things. But I still am catholic because I like the message they give. Knowledge makes me wonder if God really did all the things written in the Bible, but I still go to church because I like the message they spread. My godmother is fully christian, but she has adopted a black son, she is friends with gay people and teaches people to be nice to everybody. And if she doesn't go to Heaven, no one will. You talk about black people as niggers, you hate gay people and think that violence on women is normal. If you go to heaven, we all will.
Yes, catholic churches make people pass a basket to put money in it. You will feel guilty if you don't but you can just pass it to the next person. And this money will help priests to live, eat and keep the property of the church. It will also help them to pay electricity to power the microphones and the lights, and the printer which also needs ink to print the songs people will sing. They also need to wash the "dresses" of kids serving on Sundays. And to buy the candles they will hold.
And priests also have a life, I'll take the example of Raymond, the former priest of my godmother's town. He dedicated his whole life to pray God, but he also had a house to live in. Without donations, he would have to quit being a priest and work. And the church would have to be closed because no one can pay what it needs. Catholic churches are not about money, they want to teach you love but they need donations to keep living.
And even before my communion, in catechism I've been taught love and acceptance. But after the ceremony the basic human spirit made the children who were with me brag about what they got as a gift. "My father bought me a PS2!" "My parents took me to Disneyland!" "My parents gave me 70€!" "And you, *my name*, what did you get?" I ate a chocolate cake with my family. To us this ceremony, which I was the only one in my family to have attended, was not a thing that you do to get a reward afterwards. The other kids didn't see it this way.
Because I asked to go to catechism, I could skip a year because I proved that my godmother taught me a lot about the Bible. And priests didn't just read the Bible, they also showed us science and morality. Often they would ask me to randomly compliment someone to teach me kindness, and when my words will be listened to I want to teach people cheap kindness.
Nothing can enlighten more your day than someone giving you a compliment even if you didn't ask for it, even if you didn't do anything to that person. And that's why it makes me happy to see that girl working at a fast-food smile, because I told her she has beautiful hair. I don't know this girl, she doesn't know me, we probably won't see each other again, but i doesn't mean I can't be nice to her. This is the message I want to spread. Promote love and kindness.
