I don't know where to start. I'm a 23 year old woman, my name is Kat. So far my favourite bible verse is genesis 1:26. I don't go to a church yet (I'm looking for a good one) and i actually found Jesus through this website. Somehow it popped up on my computer, and I decided to check it out.
Nice to meet you, I hope I will be able to take a leaf out of your book, and eventually become a good Christian woman.

Welcome to God's own forum, Kewlcat! I'm always happy to share the Gospel with those who want to cast off the shackles of atheism. It's really simple. If you want to be saved, all you have to do is be chosen by God before He created the earth (Eph 1:4-5), choose to serve Him (Jos 24:15), believe in Jesus (Jn 3:16), be baptised (Mk 16:16), call on the name of the Lord (Acts 2:21), and read the King James Bible cover-to-cover and keep all 613 commandments contained therein (Jas 2:10). Because you're a woman, you'll also have to get married and have children (1 Tim 2:15). I've done my bit; now it's over to God. I'll be praying for you.

Anyway, tell us, are you married? What is it about Gen 1:26 that you like?

I like gen 1:26 so much, because it reminds me always of a link we have to god, of how men were make to look like him. And also, of the power that men are granted over animals.

No I'm not married, and that's also something I need help with. I've looked over the thread on how to find a good Christian husband, but I don't know how to tell if a man is a Christian or not.

Also, any more advice on how to act properly would be much appreciated.

Thank you dearly for the pieces of scripture you have shown me. I will be sure to study them and grasp all the knowledge that they possess. Meanwhile, I will still continue to try and finish the bible, as I have not yet had time to complete it.

Sweetie, to find a good Christian husband, it's best to leave it to your father or pastor to find the right man for you. Failing that, once you get Forum Member status, you may post a thread here or post now in an existing thread. How old are you, dear?

I do of course, but as I said, I was an atheist until not long ago, and I just haven't had the time yet, I made it a priority to finish the bible first. Are you suggesting that first I try to get a husband, then finish the bible?

I'm currently 23, so I know that had I been Christian from the start, I probably would be married by now, but as I said, I was atheist until recently, so I haven't had the time yet.

How do you even know that you want to be Christian?

The Bible is like a contract (in fact, covenant is a synonym for contract). If you haven't read the whole thing, how do you know you agree with all of the terms and clauses?

I'm sure that I want to be Christian because, on further notice, everything else seems ridiculous to me now. While currently, as I have not finished the bible, it was just the process of elimination, nothing else seemed reasonable, I'm sure that once I finish, I will be glad of my choice.
Also, I have been looking at this forum for quite a while, and learning about Christianity, and it seems like on here the Christians are always nice, whilst the atheists seem to be mean and hateful. So whilst I do not know the entirety of the bible, I have learnt what, according to the people on his forum, seems to be the most important pieces of scripture, and if am still working my way through the entire thing.

Where do you live? Is there not a church there?
A pastor can help you to find a husband.
Your life gets much easier after you are married to a good Christian man. You don't have to "plan" or "think" anything - just do as you are told.

There aren't any churches anywhere near my house, so I am still looking for a church to go to.
I can't wait to get a husband then, life would be so much easier without having to 'plan' or 'think'.

So you've thoroughly investigated every other religion, belief system, or faith practice (and all of the varieties/denominations/sects/divisions thereof, including the more than thirty THOUSAND other "Christian" movements that exist today) ever conceived in the history of mankind, and done so at the tender age of only 23?

Just, wow.

Also, excuse me while I ponder why it took you this long to get around to Christianity. I'd have thought, with you being raised in a country where Christianity is the dominant faith (and thus easier to investigate than, say, Zoroastrianism, Yazdânism, or Urarina), it would have been at the top of the list.

That speaks volumes about the completeness of your research to date.

Maybe, for the benefit of other seekers, you could make an exhaustive listing of your research, including (of course) every religion ever created by man, and all of the reasons why each one (plus atheism, which you've also rejected) is ridiculous. These reasons must be (for intellectual honesty's sake) inherent in the faiths themselves, and not simply doctrinal errors on the part of misguided practitioners.

I didn't have to go through every religion, as most religions are just variants of the main few religions.

And yes, a few weeks to become Christian is SUCH a long time.

Might I enquire as to why you waste your time going on this site, just to be rude to people, and point out minute flaws in their wording. Perhaps you need to learn how people think and talk a bit more, before you start taking everything literally.

A good example of people who always take everything literally, and cannot understand what people usually mean as you do, are people with autism. Do you have autism, by any chance?

At one point you're talking bout the 'tender age' of 23, implying that you think I'm far too young to have seen enough religions to have decided on Christianity, then you ask me why it took so long, but you just answered your own question, if 23 is such a young age, then why are you saying I took too long, implying that I should have changed YOUNGER, when already you say I'm too young. You should make up your mind.

I've asked the Admins to boot him numerous times, but apparently he stays just inside the boundaries. He does seem to know his Bible, so maybe there's hope for him yet.
