    Old Gods

    Dear true Christians,

My name is Björn and I am from the God-forsaken country the Netherlands.

Until recently I was a follower of the old viking Gods. Fortunately, the light of the one true God has reached my eyes, after I was lethally wounded in a street-fight with other heathens. For the first time in my life I opened a KJV and I felt enlightened. This verse in particular shall henceforth be my favourite:
    Leviticus 19:31
“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God."

I truly want to renounce my old Gods, yet I do not know how to. Can anyone help me, for I do not want to fall into the hands of Lucifer.

    Yours truly,

    Björn

Bjorn, normally using scripture that is not KJV (and in your case, the New International (per)Version) would result in an infraction. Since you are new to Christianity, I'll cut you a break. So from here on in, only quote from the KJV - ALL other versions of the Bible will have Jesus drop kicking you straight to hell.

    Galatians 1:7-9
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Have you found a decent Baptist church in your area?

Welcome. You need to embrace the Lord and accept him into your life. When you are ready, you will get baptised. You do not need to formally reject those false Gods as there's nothing to reject but fairy tales.

Of course, I am very sorry. Naturally I meant to use the KJV, but I just recently learned how to utilise the Internet, so I did not notice the wrong quotation.

Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a Baptist Church in my area, but I fear there might be none, as God hates the Netherlands.

Thank you for your wisdom, I greatly appreciate it.

Don't I need to pray to the Lord and ask for forgiveness? Could you teach me how to pray to Him? I've never learned to pray

You just need to read the Bible. All of the questions a True Christian™ might have are answered there.

          Let's look at Matthew 6:7-13.

First off, verse 8 tells us that praying is not about you or what you think you need or want, it's about giving God what He wants (which is neverending praise, so necessary for the sustenance of an omniscient, omnipotent being who predates the beginning of time and will still be there after everything is over).

...8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Verses 7 and 9-13 shed more light on how you should really pray to please God:

...7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking...
See that? God doesn't like it when you say the same things over and over (like the heathen Catholics with their Hail Marys). This is how He wants you to pray:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
As that's the only explicit instruction of the form that the prayers of a Christian should take, and it's rather short, maybe repeating it a whole bunch of times... wait, no. It says you shouldn't do that. But God wants you to pray ceaselessly without saying the same things...

Great, now I'm all confused, too.

Maybe one of the Pastors could clear this up?

The Dutch are filled with homosexual demons.

They view a man's ass crack as a viable alternative to a woman's vajayjay.

They probably get it from that odinism stuff.

Same way we black folk get our homosexual demons from voodoo and the hindoos from they cow-worship.
