Was I Wrong With The Discipline?

I grew up in a Baptist home and I believe very much in the Baptist principle and the word of God and the Bible. I do not and will not tolerate any form of insolence in my home with my wife, kids or any guest in my home. Two elements of this is very strict corporal punishment and most definitely proper attire while in the home or outside of the home. The other day I came home early only to find that my 16 yr old daughter had been over at her friends house wearing only a tube top and extremely very short denim shorts. I was furious! And I have no ideal as to where it is that she got these articles of clothing. I immediately went into Disciplinarian mode, meaning that I made her get totally undressed, retrieve the leather tawse that is hanging on the wall in the den, then lay across my lap for her much deserved and just punishment. And I did not stop till she was shedding many tears and barely wimpering. I then followed through with the ritual of her standing against the wall with her nose pressed against it with her hands on her head for 45 minutes. But this time,, I don't know why,, my wife protested this punishment, and this is not something that I agree with. And she knows that she is not to question my decision or rules in my home. She continued to protest to the extent that I felt that I had no other option than to punish her in the very similar manner. So it is that I made her take off all of her clothing for her proper discipline to be received over my lap. I do believe that the man of the house is the leader of the house. I do believe that he should be the one to determine what the rules and discipline should be. I do believe that the wife should submit to her husband and support him in all of his decisions. I do believe that this should be done so that he can lead and direct the family towards the righteous path to follow God and His teachings. I want to know if you fellow Christians think that I did address these problems correctly or if I should have addressed them in a different manner?

Other than being a tad bit mild in your discipline, I can't for the life of me see why you are even questioning your God given right and duty to maintain order in your domain. You should consider getting a Andrew the Papist Fraud cross, a few cages, and perhaps shock collars for your womenfolk. Also something to consider would be a proper introduction.

You have done nothing wrong sir! It is your God given right to keep your family in line! It is appaling that your daughter would go behind your back and shame you like that. I can let you know that I am very thankful for the discipline I recieved in my youth, for it has made me a respectful and obedient God fearing wife for my wonderful husband.

If you are still questioning yourself, look no further than the Great Lord's word:
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
      Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Re: Was I Wrong With The Discipline?

Sir, I believe that your wife and offspring have not received proper guidance. If they had been led correctly, they would not be so defiant. I urge you to seek counseling from your Pastor. If he is unavailable or is too disgusted with your lack of manly leadership skills to help you, I believe our own Pastor Zeke may be able to render assistance. He is a very busy man, the Pastor of a large and powerful congregation and his time is limited. Your best results will come when you present him with a substantial and unniggardly love offering before you request his guidance.

        That is my advice.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

This is called the INTRODUCTION section, not the ADVICE section. Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

It seems to me friend, that the question you should be asking is if God Almighty Himself thinks you addressed these problems correctly. What does the Holy Ghost say to you when you pray about it? Is it in conformity with the Holy Word? Here are a few words of divine advice you might consider when pondering.

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest,
O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law
            Psalms 94:12

The LORD is a God of Order (Genesis 1:1-31), and as such calls us to be within alignment of that order. His preferred way is for people to respect God-given authority over them (Matthew 28:18; Ephesians 1:21; Hebrews 1:2). This authority extends to the family unit (Genesis 3:16; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Colossians 3:20). You can read more of my thoughts as the LORD gave them to me here.

People who walk by sight, who are still in bondage to sin and the desires of the flesh, will undoubtedly accuse you of being a pedophile and sadist, deriving perverted pleasure from whipping your naked daughter over you lap and then keeping her in the corner to suffer the humiliation she deserved for upsetting Divine Justice, but they're just jealous. People who do not understand the blessings that come from obedience will do whatever they can to undermine the value of loyalty.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I'm a bit worried about you stripping your daughter naked with her friend present.

If her friend was a lesbian she would have easily over powered you (lesbians are far stronger than normal people) and raped your daughter in the face and mouth with her parts.

                Think on.

                  Dear Friend,

I hope you will introduce yourself soon. The instructions plainly indicate that you are to tell us your church, your favorite KJV1611 passage, and what caused your darkened soul to reach toward the holy light of the precious Savior. We just love hearing testimonies.

Interesting fact: Did you know at one time men held their testicles to indicate their devotion to telling the truth? Now it would seem rappers have to be very truthful individuals, but since most of them are nigras, I have a tough time with that.

As for discipline, dear, all I can tell you is the first time my father stripped one of our neighbor girls, spanked her bare handed, and put lye soap in her mouth all because she said "darn," (sorry brothers and sisters for the harsh word), well - I never wanted to endure that. Why your wife would defy you in this is beyond words. Have you written her a letter of divorcement or is she still locked in her menstra-hut? She has to be experiencing the curse or I doubt any sane woman would go against her husband like this. My fervent prayers shall be with you, dear!
