He thus leaves us to guess at the correct way to avoid eternal damnation.

Is that really what you think of the Lord most high? Such a deity would be a monster, completely undeserving of worship.
I think no man on this world can claim that in the "language of men" he preserved corectly his words without any mistakes.

Matthew 24:35 sais only there will always be his words in some form, yet you can't really say he in his thought projected said "words" because words are made by man. More likely it is his teachings will always prevail, which time shows it is true so far.
Psalm 12:6-7 doesn't say he preserve those "words" there is the "shalt" or should in modern english, it sounds to me as asking God to preserve it somehow. It sais His "words" spoken by Him (not in "language of men") are pure. That is true. But then he is asked to preserve them by Psalm, not that Bible has them. To be sure I re-read passage before and after this one and there is nothing to add.
Isaiah 40:8 Sais "words" of His will somehow be here forever.

Yes he "could" preserve his words but he rather let men to write down his teachings. There was the choice of freedom, the first one. Because they were given the chance to interpret his words the best they could.
This makes me consider a thing too - He could have made all physical laws and let men to choice to try to find out how He in His will made them work. Look at it - it would mean He made everything but let men to discover how He made it work. Not just say "these are those laws, remember them all corectly" he gave as ability to think so we can discover it by ourselves. That would mean you are right even when scientists discover how all things work. Because He in His will gave them freedom and means of discovering those laws. Can you understand my thinking pastor Peters?
He gave us hints and advices and it is up to us to discover and fully understand His will. When we are in need He can get us back to the right path. I think He would do it so He can be proud of us we chose the right path by our own freedom rather than just drag us to the heaven. Man degenerates if his path is chosen for him and he doesn't need to do anything on his own. Wouldn't you agree pastor Peters? Imagine your life would consist only from "go there, do that, go sleep, repeat" and it would never give you even a sligth chance to think for yourself. Would you clam it is "life" when you would do nothing on your own? You would be only slave to someone commands. What would you do in heaven when you would know nothing but those commands bestowed upon you everyday? It wouldn't be life nor afterlife at all!
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
