I've just joined and I'm hoping to learn the right way to Salvation as a dear brother in Christ recommended the Landover Baptist Church as having the right kind of Christian view and the right kind of Christian message.

My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 66:16, which for me completely encapsulates the Christian spirit: there's nothing more Christian than mortifying the wicked by fire and sword.

May the slain of the LORD be many!

What an uplifting verse!

To find Jesus you need to simply follow His words in the Bible and follow them to the letter. It is not easy being a Christian. I have no personal greivence with queers but Jesus hates them and wants them dead (Lev 20:13) so as a good, decent Christian I have to call for the death sentence for homers.

May Jesus see you and keep you safe.

It is heartening to one that others share one's spiritual perspective. I can only agree on the stand that you take on homosexuals. The abomination that is sodomy must be excised with steel and cauterized with fire.

His will be done on Earth and it is high time we get to the Lord's work.

I have gained so much knowledge of the KJV Bible since associating with my loving and caring brothers and sisters here; I could not begin to tell you of their amazing ability to reach into scripture and pull out an answer direct from Heaven on high. PRAISE GOD!

As I am here to learn, I shall certainly have questions and use the search facility to insure that the question concerned has not been treated with and answered before on the forum. Thank you, Mary Etheldreda. I seek to praise the LORD in my work as a laundryman. A humble, but noble and honorable, occupation.

With every newly laundered, clean pair of socks, or shorts, or a shirt, or a linen sheet, I say a prayer of thanks to the LORD for giving me this day and to be employed in purposeful work keeping folk in clean clothes and linen. Amen!

I have read Isaiah but I did not remember the verse you mentioned so I went back and read Isaiah 66 again and there is a verse that I really like it is Isaiah 66:11 it says:

That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

I do not think God is actually talking about the breasts of a woman I think He is talking about Jerusalem but it is still very nice to read.

Whether God is talking about the lactating breasts of a woman or about Jerusalem, it is a greatly pleasing and appealing image that this verse engenders to the sincere Christian reader. I am, indeed, "delighted with the abundance of her glory."
