    Genesis 6:4-7
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

You see, it's all explained in the Bible. If I were you, I'd be more respectful towards an omnipotent being who can destroy mankind at will.

it's explained but was partially mistranslated in English so it can be confusing... Takes a Strong's concordance to figure this one out

Gen 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began** men to call upon the name of the LORD.

It's actually not "began" but "destroyed" or "blasphemed"

It also can mean "to play the pipe or flute", BUT no Bible in English has it translated that way or either of the ways you suggest. Why do you suppose that is?

            You must mean this:

            וּלְשֵׁ֤ת גַּם־הוּא֙ יֻלַּד־בֵּ֔ן וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמֹ֖ו אֱנֹ֑ושׁ אָ֣ז הוּחַ֔ל לִקְרֹ֖א בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃

As you can see, your vocalization châlal is erroneous. It should be hûchal, thus, actually, even the consonants are incorrect, although the stem is h-l-l. Furthermore, it is not the qal form but actually hophal that has usually a causative meaning. "Then it was begun that men called..." = began to call.

            Now, where was the problem?

Because there's just no way an omnipotent God could prevent His words from being mistranslated after He had promised to preserve them.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

You may be unaware of some of the mistranslations in KJV, I can point to a few if it's of any interest

That is the one true Bible, for all those that add to the Bible or take away from it, are going to burn in Hell! Do you really want to go there? I would read the KJV 1611 Bible and really pray over this one. You are using a fake Bible, while we use the real one and obey it, meaning we are headed to heaven. Repent, you currently-hellbound sinner!

Well the problem, is that you are a puny human. Just like me. However, there is one big difference. I am protected by Jesus as a Christian, Baptist woman, and you are unsaved. The thing is that you think you, the scientists, and linguists are right and know it all. But, they have an agenda promoting Satan's and not the Good Lord's will. Thus, they will lie and misinform you. God is perfect and He never made a mistake, and He loves us American, white, KJV-obeying-every-word, non-cherry-picking, Baptists. Thus, since we obey Him, who is never wrong, and He said the Bible is His Divine Instructions, we are right and you are wrong. Get off your high horse named Pride and get on your knees begging the Lord to forgive you.

You are a despicable blasphemer. And no, I am not a brainwashed, bare-foot woman in the kitchen, popping babies with no idea of a real education or anything else. Just to prove the secular scientists and the world that I am highly intelligent and not brainwashed, my father got an IQ test done on me and I got 146. That is in the top 3% of the entire world, and thus I am a highly intelligent woman, making an intelligent choice to let go of control to my husband and obey him as the Bible commands. Think twice and pray long and hard before you get all racist towards us who choose to obey the Good Lord's Divine Plan for us.

Why anyone would think God is incapable of preserving His Word is mind boggling. Why anyone would worship a God they believed to be incapable of preserving His Word is pure foolishness.

thanks sister, I am well familiar with KJV Only arguments. It's the best we have in English and I wouldn't use anything else. I am just not some extremist who loses his cool and only can see things in black-and-white. I'd be happy to share with Pastor Zeke or anyone interested in Bible manuscripts what I know about the shortcomings on KJV. No doubt the Catholic church did more damage to the Bible in the 19th century than pre-1611, that I wouldn't argue with
