GLORY Pastor! Nothing better than a nice roasted turkey next to a roaring fire to remind of us all the Indian village that our Christian ancestors burnt to the ground reclaiming this great land for Jesus. One can look in the embers and almost see the bones of countless generations of heathen righteously crushed underfoot by The Lord and His servants. Another problem with the whole "Pilgrims and Indians being Friends and Eating Dinner Together" myth is that it would be unbiblical of the Pilgrims. We know the Pilgrims were very religious people who held their AV1611 KJV close to their hearts. After all, that's why they came here...because of religion.
1st Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.That verse tells us not to eat with the unsaved. Surely the Pilgrims wouldn't have ignored that verse would they?
1st Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.The Indians sacrificed to their pagan gods (devils). Therefore the Pilgrims would have no fellowship, such as eating a dinner or celebrating with the Indians.
2nd John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.These verses tell us not to allow unsaved into our houses or even to bid them Goodbye, lest we join them in their evil works! It is clear the Puritans would have never allowed the Indians into their territory, so no mythical dinner could have taken place.
2nd John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2nd John 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
