Dog stays warm in Jesus’ manger

My Savior is Alive! Praise Jesus!

This homeless dog was found sleeping in Jesus’ manger. The Nativity set was located at the central square of Criciuma, a small town in Santa Catarina state, south of Brazil.
I guess he found the perfect spot to stay warm. Merry Christmas everyone.

They're so many homeless dogs in Brazil they're lucky that Joseph and Mary didn't make the manger into a kennel.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Very cute pic. but since when did Jesus lie with dogs?

At least the Brazillions were smart enough to know that baby JESUS had blonde hair and blue eyes.

I am pretty sure Jesus would find this blasphemous, as Jesus never cared much for dogs. Remember Matthew chapter 7, verse 6?

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

And don't forget the instance where Jesus compared the Caananite woman to a dog (in a negative way, of course)

Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Maybe if the dog went out and got a job he could get his own dog house and stop leeching off of other peoples' property.

Why would a dog need to keep warm in Brazil in December? Isn't that where people go to get warm? I just double checked and the highs in December are usually around 80 with the lows around 65, why are people worrying about this dog getting cold?

No it's just another stray that needs to be taken care of. If they can rehome it great, but if not shooting it is a lot more humane than leaving it out to live on the street.

I'm having a hard time deciding - it could be a sign from God, like a guard dog to keep the mooselimbs from desecrating the Baby Jesus.
