I do not worship Mary as you say. I was raised in a Catholic family always taugh me that, and I learned to love God above everything and follow the 10 commandments in my daily life. And I guess that's why I still consider myself (or call myself) a Catholic. I do have to say that I stopped going to the masses and got away from Church because, for me it stopped making sense. The Church is made by men to worship the Lord and spread his word. And men aren't perfect has God is, and some men do abominations like raping stealing, etc, and I do agree with the fact that there are criminals in 'lamb' vestments among the Catholic Church, but only they can answer for their sins before God, and I hope they will.
I got here because a friend pointed this forum out, for all this lack of knowledge about my country. I've read some things, because unlike the majority of angry portuguese fellows that came here, I like to learn and try to understand the people 'on the other side' when they're saying or standing up for something, but all I find here is hate

And at this time I went to check information about this comunity and you know what? I actually agree with you!
I came to think now, and I'm starting to feel glad for finding this website, I hope I can learn more from you. There's a lot of things in Catholicism that feel wrong to me

God is not an invisible man. God is all-powerful and unique.

And I have a challenge for you: you claim that we have "zero knowledge" about world history. Let me tell you my friend, my history book starts like this:

(Genesis 1:1) "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

and it ends like this:

(Revelation 22:21) "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

That covers everything. EVERYTHING.

If you can tell me one other history book that encompasses that broad swath, I'll send $1,000 to the Jesus-hating charity of your choice.

A bunch of loose sentences sums it all? For you, all the complexities of nature and the ecossistems are explained in three sentences?

Looks like YOU are the lazy people, not searching for all the answers, just a book, a picture, and maybe a little more and you're done.
Well, it's not surprising, given that you don't bother to distinguish two different countries with two different languages, of course you won't bother with everything else too.

Hello Badarro. I used to think like you because I did not think God was real and that is because I could not see Him but then I had an accident it is a long story. There are many things you can not see that are real for instance love or x-rays or neurocognitive deficits but I can assure you that they are all very real.

There is even a Bible verse Romans 1:20 which talks about this and I have it marked with a Post-It note because it is very important:

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

If you are not able to get Post-It notes in Portugal I can send you some they are very helpful. You can peel them off when you get tired of them.

You really don't know Portugal. It's not a third world country like you all seem, it's not Spain, we don't speak Spanish.
It's true the country is having a bad time and is filled with corruption, but I can easily say the same of United States.
And Portugal was the country that discover most of the other continents. We even split the world in two (yes, the land you're in right now, once belonged to Portugal) with Spain with something called Tordesilhas Treaty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Tordesillas). Maybe you didn't know that, not you do, go tell your friends, please.

How miserable sad person are you??? 2.000 for how much time, where? We have several amazing hotels and when booking, they all have descriptions about what they have or what they don´t have!!!

For sure you have a lot of ships and rented 3 or 4 rooms and were expecting to pay 50€ because you were in a 3rd world country??? How ignorante are you? Do you know history? Did you at least study? Yes, we have a bad economy but at this point all the european countries have and several from the entire world!!! Don´t you see the news??? Do you have at least a tv at home?
