    Re: Basic Recipes Needed

Hi Ladies! I'm going to share my recipe for home fries with you! I'm also going to share the recipe for my father's favorite dipping sauce.

    Ingredients

    -1 or 2 potatoes, washed
    -Oil
    -Salt
    -Pepper
-Seasoned salt (can be substituted with other seasonings)

    Instructions

    1. Cut the potatoes into disks, then cut the disks into strips
    2. Mix the seasonings in a bowl
    3. Put some of the potato pieces into the bowl and mix until they're coated in the seasoning. If they aren't fully coated, add more of the seasoning
    4. Put the rest of the potatoes in the bowl and mix until they're coated. Usually more seasoning is definitely needed
    5. Pour the oil into the frying pan. You'll need to add enough to make sure that the bottom of the pan is more than fully covered
    6. Turn on the stove to medium heat
    7. When the oil starts to heat up, add the potatoes
    8. It will take a while for the potatoes to start browning, so find something to do within view of the stove. I like to use this time to make the dipping sauce
    9. Line a plate with paper towels and put it next to the stove.
    10. Flip the potatoes to keep them from sticking to the pan
    11. When the potatoes start to brown on one side, flip them over with either a spatula or a pair of tongs (I prefer tongs)
    12. Repeat Step 11 as each side of the potato pieces start to brown
    13. Add more oil if needed
14.When all sides of the potatoes are brown, take them out of the pan and put them on the plate with the paper towels.
    15. When all of the potatoes are done, serve them with whatever dipping sauce you or your family prefers
    16. Enjoy!

    Ingredients for the Sauce

    -Mayonnaise
    -Hot sauce

    Recipe

    1. Put 2-3 spoonfuls of mayonnaise in a bowl
    2. Add hot sauce (the amount is based on your preference
    3. Mix until the mayo is a light shade of orange
    4. If it's not hot enough, repeat Steps 2 and 3
    5. When the sauce is at the right heat level, serve

This sauce also goes well with many other foods.

I am going to tear this page out of my cook book right now and replace it with a version much more meat filled! Thank you all for showing me where I faltered in this recipe. I can only hope my husband and God Almighty will forgive my foolishness.

I should think you mean "liked," since Mechaman, or whatever his name was, expired after being shot by a black man wearing a dark shirt and green pants wielding an AR-15 just after he ate at a McDonald's, enjoying a Big Mac (no lettuce) and a Coke Zero. From McDonald's he purchased a newspaper at that store across from where your husband was gunned down. He put the newspaper in his car, retrieving his weapon and then aiming the gun, causing your husband's head to almost be severed from his body.

Or that's what I'm told. My deepest sympathies remain with you, Sister.

Dear, I can provide a very simple recipe that is properly meaty and also clearly shows we aren't mooslim terrorists -- as if a white, Christian lady would ever be mistaken. It's pretty simple: make a crust, then chop up and fry small slices of venison and beef, mix it with gravy and boiled corn, and then cover it with a pretty lattice of bacon. You could swap the meats as you please, but my husband likes this version best. I noticed in your earlier dish you had a lot of vegetables...I can't find a verse in the Bible where Jesus ate vegetables but we know he ate fish (Luke 24) and meat (Luke 22). Real men don't eat vegetables; they provide no real sustenance and as women, our duty is to provide an inviting home, and sustaining meal for our men while they work for the Lord outside the home.

Just remember, a man needs meat. Lots of meat:

    Leviticus 22:11
But if the Priest buy any soule with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is borne in his house: they shall eat of his meat.

Here is a recipe my Husband just adores!

You'll need Carrots, broccoli, celery, and corn. You'll also need shredded cheddar cheese and bread crumbs (the quantities of each depends on how much you wish to make and what are his favorites!!)

Chop up your veggies and get them almost all the way cooked in a skillet with a little bit of oil.

    Preheat the oven to 350

Cover the bottom of the pan with bread crumbs
Then cover with a layer of veggies
    Then cover with cheese
Then another layer of crumbs and cheese mixed
Then more vegies and then cheese.
(You can mix it for a cheesier thicker consistency or leave it this way to be lighter)

Let it cook for about 10 minutes in the oven to finish cooking and to let the cheese melt

    ENJOY!

In case you haven't noticed, there's a thread in the Men Only section about the evils of marijuana. I'd give you a link, but that would mean that I'd have to enter a part of the forum that I'm not allowed to be in.

Very funny Much. Sister Esther mentioned pie PLATE. Obviously the use of a plate is her own little "twist" on the execution.

I know that I originally requested that people share basic recipes, but since Michel has greatly improved on her cooking skills, I thought I'd share my recipe for chicken pot pie, which is a little more complicated, but still delicious.

    Ingredients:

2 unbaked 9 inch pie crusts- make sure they're fresh
1 pound of cubed chicken breast halves- boneless and skinless
    1 cup sliced carrots
    1 cup frozen green peas
    1/2 cup sliced celery
    1/3 cup butter
    1/3 cup chopped onion
    1/3 cup all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp celery seed
    1 3/4 cups chicken broth
    2/3 cup milk
2 or 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed (optional)

    Instructions:
    1. Line pie plate with one pie crust and put the other ball of crust in the fridge.
    2. Preheat oven to 435 degrees F.
    3. Combine chicken, carrots, peas, celery (and potatoes, if you're using them) in a saucepan. Add enough water to cover them and let everything boil for 15 minutes. When the 15 minutes are up, remove the pot from the stove and drain it. Put the meat and vegetables aside for now.
    4. Put the onions and butter in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the onions are soft and translucent.
    5. Stir the flour, salt, pepper, and celery seed into the butter and onion mixture. Slowly stir in the chicken broth and milk, then simmer over medium-low heat until the mixture is thick. Once the mixture is thick, remove the pot from the stove and set it aside.
    6. Place the mixture of chicken and vegetables in the bottom pie crust, then pour the liquid mixture over it.
    7. Roll out the top pie crust and place it over the pie. Seal the edges, cut away any extra dough (I use it to patch any other areas where there isn't enough dough to cover), and make a slit or two in the top (I prefer to make a cross or two).
    8. Put in the over and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
    9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

    Enjoy!

    Re: Basic Recipes Needed

    Hello all,

To keep it basic I will post the recipe for a two ingredient wholesome meal. One of the ingredients is water, as I am not Jesus I need another ingredient to make this very pleasant dish, chocolate.

What you need are these ingredients and tools:

The Chocolate must contain > 70% cocoa, I used 76%. The ratio hot water and chocolate has to be about 1:1,3 as you don´t want it to get too wet.

The recipe is simple. Cut the chocolate into small pieces and put them in a metal bowl. Slowly add the boiling water to the chocolate, not to fast as the chocolate might get to warm. Keep stirring until you get a nice paste.

When it is all nice and smooth, put the bowl reverse au bain marie in the ice bath and use a whisk to stir it while it cools into a really nice, stiff mousse:

    This one radiates love.

For those of you who find pure chocolate too bitter: Add a tiny bit of salt to make it sweeter. You will have to work harder to get a nice mousse though.

    Kind regards,

    Roland

I mean, why would you want such slant foods when you have lovely American meats?

    Proudly American,

That sounds like wonderful Meals. Praise God

Have you considered soaking your meat in something sweet beforehand?

I fine a nice marinade makes all the difference some oriental loquat sauce perhaps or one of my favourites, a lovely crab apple jelly.
That surely looks enticing. As winter is approaching I will be more into oven dishes and other assorted stuff.
