This is all becoming simply TOO MUCH!

This morning I noticed that someone had broken into the offices of the Freehold Community Players and stolen our subscribers list!

Now calls are swarming in from terrified patrons, who report they've been phoned incessantly by unidentified people "confirming" their private, home address information, etc. They are also brusquely asked to "confirm" that they're indeed patrons of "Beaux McManus' Freehold Community Players."

1.) The theatre has never gone by that name. This is obviously a ploy to harras our patrons into withdrawing their support for me as mayor.

2.) Such theft is not only illegal, but puts my very livelihood at risk. Already, 3 sets of subscribers have cancelled.

3.) I call upon every resident in Freehold to demand a complete investigation into these events. Remember, it could be you, next.

This is outrageous! While we might disagree on how we should address the issues facing Freehold, I think everyone deserves a fair chance here.

I will ask everyone I trust if they know anything about this. We wiccans are nosy people, and maybe we can discover something.

You know, Cassie, I don't even know if I want you to do that. It could be very dangerous. These people have broken into my home, stolen classified business records, and are STILL calling and recalling the people they've already "confirmed" from the list...just to frighten them off further.

This isn't just one person who's pulling "a prank". No, it's a systematic and well-organized machine that's mowing through the unsanctified candidates lives. A lot of people are involved.

Again, it's a wonderful offer, but please, Save Yourself.

PS: 6 more people called to cancel their season tickets. At this rate, I don't know if we'll be able to afford to stage Little Mary Sunshine in its full operetta regalia. We might have to just pull those dusty old sets and costumes from I Do, I Do! out of storage again, and recycle that old chestnut. That's not what our subscribers paid for!

Don't worry, Beaux! We will be very careful. There are some very influential people in Freehold who are on our side. After all, we also knew the exact planning of the Witch Hunt last year, so that of our coven, no one was hurt. As you may know, the planning of this takes place behind closed doors. We know things.

And I won't sacrifice Freehold to save myself. There are too many people here who deserve freedom from the Baptist Big Brother machine. There are too many children abused by their parents. There are too many people who mysteriously disappear around here. I want to help them out.
