WARNING: If you are a mindless Hold-supporter, this might be shocking to you! The truth is, JJ Hold isn't the decent, friendly, balanced christian he pretends to be. Research on these very forums led to amazing discoveries:
1. JJ Hold pretended to be mayor of Freehold when he joined these forums, while he wasn't. A clear sign of a mentally disturbed man.
2. He was subsequently condemned by ALL True Christians™ on the forum.
3. He landed in Quarantine, among with other people who were considered "unfit to mix with the general public."
4. Though the original thread was deleted, this thread is still up, where we can find a lot of secrets about the delirious man who tries to become mayor.
So, after he was exposed and quarantined (and had his name changed to "Mayor Wannabee"
), he wrote a 500-word essay. I'm going to review it right now:
Here he already admits to attempting to deceive the entire "true christian" community of Freehold, and confirms he was perfectly aware of what he was doing. A known fraud is running for mayor here.
So here we can already see what drives JJ Hold. Being a Christian Pastor was too low for him. Donating to an Orphan Fund as well was for lesser people. He just wanted to have money, lots of it!
1. So, apparently JJ Hold wants to buy his place into heaven with the money he makes as mayor. Does anyone want to have such a greedy, selfish person as mayor?
2. He again denounces the charging of usury, which is in clear disagreement with the viewpoints of several "true christians" on this issue.
3. Wrongly incarcerated? Why haven't we heard that before? Is a convicted criminal running for mayor here? I would like mr. Hold to enlighten Freehold about this. Has he been raping children or something?
I haven't made this up, Hold really said that. The man, who tries to win sympathy in Freehold by promising to erect a Ten Commandments Monument, has actively attempted (and succeeded) to remove prayer from the agenda of Council meetings. How hypocritical can you get?
Well, the Pastors of the LBC now know what they are in for. This man clearly has a record of not doing what the church wants. While I'm fine with that, it is rather strange that "true christians" want somebody like that as a mayor. What proof is there that he really repented?
Moreover, instead of "making amends" at the other cities where he was mayor, as he promised here, he tries to become mayor in Freehold. Apparently, the lust for political power is much stronger in JJ Hold than his desire to "set things right."
Which was the end of this dreadful turd of a "confession." Anyone who seriously believes an elusive and slippery man like this is honest and upright in his current campaign, deserves to be deceived.
Really amusing, by the way, to read James Hutchins' initial response to this confession:
Which kind of makes me smile.
Anyway, it is nothing short of scandalous, that this story has been kept secret until now. We now have seen what kind of unstable, money-grabbing, power-hungry person JJ Hold is. I would say, Johny, maybe it is time to prevent even more embarrassment, and step out of the race. You clearly are not fit to be mayor of any town. You've failed those other towns as well, why would this one be different?

Essay for Release from Landover Purgatory, by Johny Joe Held
This essay is being submitted for the purpose of mitigating unfortunate behavior on my part. I remain at the mercy of the Forum and will revise and edit as required.
Recently, I portryaed myself as being the actual Mayor of Freehold, Iowa. This was untrue and a misrepresentation of myself. The lovely Mistress Cookie suggested an essay outline and I will attempt to meet her requirements in this writing project.
Mistress Cookie suggested that one first present the circumstances that led up to the infraction. This I will do. However, I wish to assure readers of this essay that these circumstances were not responsible for my misrepresentation. I alone am resposible.

The circumstances began in my youth. My Father was an itinerate preacher. In truth, he was not very successful. Instead of preaching in churches or rented halls, he was relegated to finding "free" venues whereever he could. We lived off the meager collections he garnered at these events.
The economics of these events was made even worse by local Mayors. These were often public parks of town squares. In exchange for using these areas, Mayors often demanded dear Father donate to "the Mayor's Orphan Fund". I mention all of this because it where I began to ask myself, "Why does dear Father choose to be the one making these payments instead of the one receiving them?"

Now, I must clearly state that I myself have never shanken down anyone for money like those Mayors. Nevertheless, I have made a considerable amount of money as a Mayor in several different cities. Making money as a Mayor is the only part of my career that qualifies me for some portion of an eternal heaven. Ecclesiastes 10:19 lays this out nicely, "A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry; but money answerth all things."
I am proud, also, that I recieve and spend my income in cash, currency. This way I know I am not receiving nor charging usury. I am looking forward to associating with Landover people who do not have mortgages or make car payments. (Dueteronomy 23:19 "Thou salt not lend upon usery...") The only time I did not make a lot of money was a brief period when I was wrongly incarcerated.

It is faith in God that has been absent in my career as a Mayor. In one city, there was a practice of holding a silent prayer before Council meetings began. The "Prayer" was listed on the official published agenda. Instead of silently praying, I would count from one to 30 and the say, "Amen!" After some months, I complained to the sweet lady who administered the Mayor's office about my discomfort with the prayer agenda item. "Good," she said. "I've always hated that piffleing prayer. I won't put it one the agenda. It's done." (PLEASE, CENSURE AS NEEDED! OH GOOD, IT'S DONE AUTOMATICALLY!)

I was visited by clergy about this, but could not see the error of my ways. How short sighted I was. I could have turned the Office of Mayor into the Pulpit for God. Even now, I neglect to go and see that sweet lady. I could say to her, "Remember our conversation about the prayer? Let's talk about that. And, while we are at it, let's talk about vulger language."
Then, there was the born again Christian council member who wanted the City to pay for travel expenses of his church's Bible Quiz Team. I blew him off. I need to find him and make ammends.

This quest to make money as a secular Mayor led me to Iowa. Now, the lovely Mistress Cookie warns we confessors not to end up with the explanation, "but"--as in, "but it was someone else's fault." No, it was all my fault for leaving God out of my mission as a Mayor.
In my quest as a 71 year old man needing eternal salvation, I have been searching KJV 1611 for a path away from eternal hell. My hope is for the redemption of Ephesians 1:7, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace."
God bless the forum for allowing me to post this.
