While it may not come as a surprise to most of us; yesterday it was confirmed that an overwhelming majority of Canadians support sodomy.

In a 175 to 123 vote; the issue of whether to re-open the same sex marriage debate was soundly defeated by homers and their supporters in a country that is only surpassed by mudslums in their willingness to spit in the face of Jesus. It's time for action. I can no longer stomach the thought of two men in lumberjack coats cuddling on the couch and necking. Full story here;

OTTAWA—Same-sex marriages are here to stay in Canada.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper says his party has no plans to revisit the topic — even if he wins a majority government in the future — after Parliament yesterday overwhelmingly voted not to reopen debate on the controversial issue.

"We made a promise to have a free vote on this issue, we kept that promise, and obviously the vote was decisive and obviously we'll accept the democratic result of the people's representatives," Harper said after the vote.

As for "the democratic result of the people's representatives," when we True Christian™ Republicans talk about the need to protect democracy in the area of marriage, that doesn't apply to Canada, as the Canadians have just proved that they are unfit to govern themselves.

The Roman catholic church strongly opposes same sex marriage.

When same sex marriage legislation was being accepted in my country, the greatest opponent was in fact the Church.

Based on the precedent set when our Godly President Reagan invaded Grenada, I'd say we are probably massing troops along the border even now. We cannot simply sit back and allow such a dangerous threat to our American interests to exist, a mere stones throw from our northern border!

US puts machine-guns on Great Lakes coast guard vessels

The U.S. says it's because of terraists, but since I doubt the Taliban are planning to sail into the U.S. anytime soon it must be preparing for war with my country!

A Canadian Foreign Affairs official said Ottawa has agreed to read the treaty in such a way that coast guard vessels may be mounted with guns by considering them weapons of law enforcement rather than war.
Canada reserves the right to arm its own vessels as well, the official told CBC News.
Under the reinterpretation, which both sides say honours the spirit of the original treaty, vessels may be outfitted with machine-guns of sizes up to .50-calibre. That would be big enough to bring down a helicopter and shoot through a light-armoured vehicle.
Colclough said the United States has no intention of equipping the vessels with .50-calibre machine-guns at this point.

Having said that, I don't see what's so controversial about the claim that machine guns are weapons of law enforcement rather than war. Surely all active citizens should be required to carry them, for the purposes of keeping the peace?

It is a mute point. War is just the result of poor law enforcement.
