Godly Judge Frees Man after Bible Quiz

Praise Jesus, I think we need a lot more judges like THIS one.

Ohio judge frees man after Bible quiz

CINCINNATI - A man arrested on Wednesday for allegedly trying to use a stolen credit card at a drugstore got a break from a judge after passing a sort of Bible quiz.

When Eric Hine appeared in court this morning, his attorney described him as a church-goer, hoping the judge would set a low bond.

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge John Burlew was skeptical and asked Hine to recite the 23rd Psalm.

He did: all six verses. Some in the courtroom applauded.

Burlew was satisfied and released Hine on a $10,0000 appearance bond, meaning he'll have to pay that amount if he doesn't show up for his next court date.
This is not the verse I would have chosen to test a potential sinner with. Just as a service for you unsaved heathens out there lurking in the shadows, too scared to make a post of your own, here is the verse that got this man freed:

    Psalm 23
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

If I were you, I would start memorizing every single chapter and verse of the entire Holy KJV1611 Bible, just in case Godly judges all over our land decide to take up this practice.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

    Disgusting.

I do hope his church will excommunicate him for such disgusting behavior.

    The thief, too.

What if he was reciting it under the devil's influence? Didn't Jesus say that Satan could quote scripture too?

Jesus still loves you Phoenix, even though you have spat in HIS face as HE hangs on the cross. Won't you come back to HIS love?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

              You were never a Christian.

A True Christian, one who knows the Unconditional Love of Jesus, is incapable of sinning or backsliding. You have become rebellious and perverse, and hate Jesus. Therefore, you never knew His love.

It's not that simple. I left Christianity because I found that I no longer believed everything in the scriptures. How does one make oneself believe?

You could watch "Peter Pan" and clap until your palms were chapped and shout "I believe in faeries" at the top of your lungs, but you I doubt that you could actually MAKE yourself believe in faeries.
I can SAY I believe that there is a penguin tap-dancing on top of my monitor, but saying it, no matter how many times I say I believe it, or how loudly I say I believe it, I can't make myself believe it. I can SAY I believe in the resurrection, but I can't make myself believe that it actually happened.

How could you not believe? Do you not see the world around you?

The Bible says God created the universe, does it not?
                    The universe is here.
Do you have a better explanation? Are you calling God a liar?

I don't see why not. There's perfectly good evidence of them right here.

I'm not calling God a liar. I'm just not so sure that everything in the Bible is the absolute word of God. After all, the Bible in its current form was assembled by what amounted to a committee. How do we know they didn't leave out something they should have included or include something that didn't belong?

Cute. And here I was thinking you had no sense of humor. I stand corrected on that point.

Are you suggesting that God, the Creator of the Universe, is incapable of making sure His very own Book -- and He only wrote ONE -- is proofread properly?

What sort of a limp-wristed little pansy do you take Him for? Now you're not calling Him a liar, you're calling Him impotent!

Either the Bible IS the complete, perfect, and infallible Word of God, or you and I have no way whatsoever of knowing God! If that's the case, Christianity is as worthless as Wicca, and you might as well focus on your "self-development" as in Buddhism or maybe become a Yoan or Thelemite.

                        Which is it?

Yes, we have senses of humor. Just not when it comes to insulting God.
