I thought the traffic was bad at Cedar Rapids at four in the afternoon!
Remember this story when someone tries to sell you a cheap trip to China. You might never make it back to the Airport.
Landover Baptist Pastors caught in nine day traffic jam in China!
A tour bus carrying eighteen crates of English Bibles with five Landover Baptist Pastors and their local crew has been stranded just outside of Peking for the last nine days. The Pastors have complained that locals are over-charging them for food and drink while they are stuck.
Pastor Steven Holyoke: "I had to pay one dollar for a case of water, and another dollar for a BBQ pork and potato lunch. I saw other local Chinese paying a fifth what I was paying but when I complained I was told "Whitey pay more."
The traffic jam caused the Pastors to miss their flight to Pakistan and also over stay their Visas. A prayer request has been made to help them with the visa officials.
The Pastors didn't expect the boom in road building in China in recent years. Vehicle use has soared and stalled traffic stretches between Jining in Inner Mongolia and Huai'an in Hebei province.
