The Bible does not say that MEN must marry their rapists. Just women.

I did read that post prior to posting mine. I am not a member of this community, but merely want to understand where your beliefs come from. Before I am told "the bible" as I'm sure I would be, allow me to say I understand this. I understand that your beliefs come from a literal interpretation from the bible. But I have come to see why your beliefs are so different from other Christ based faiths which also look to the bible as a source of guidance. The beliefs held by many on this board are not popular, as can be seen by the lack of precvelance in society and even the internet. I am aware from that post that you are 1,000,000+ strong which is an impressive number but on a worldwide scale is small in comparison.


That being said my definition of rape is forced sex without consent and I wanted to make sure yours was the same before I began to ask my next question. If the girl were hypothetically willing to admit she was a "sinner" and wanted to "repent" for her actions by marrying the man who allegedly raped her. What is he to do about his current wife since he is married? I know your faith does not allow a man more than one wife as I saw a post detesting the mormons for such a practice. So if the girl wishes to marry him is he to leave his wife? Your faith does not believe in divorce either. What is the "morally correct" thing to do for all to repent in this situation? This is what I do not understand from a practical/intellectual/and moral standpoint.


Also I noticed that one of the posts on this board stated that the only true christans were white Baptist Americans. What of the rest of the world? Surely God did not create only one people within a country (which at the time of Jesus did not exist as it is set today) to be saved as Jesus himself said to love one another as yourself. Please note he did not stipulate a race. You have made it seem like any nonwhite non Baptist is condemned to Hell merely because of how they were born and where they come from. Jesus accepted Gentiles and Jews and you do not seem to do so. I question you how are these beliefs close to that which Jesus who was God has taught from his own mouth?

Divorce is acceptable in this situation, due to the fornication which occurred. If you would bother to read the Bible, many of your questions would be answered.

I do not agree with most of the things on this board, however I will say it did get me to read the bible and this is the reason I think I was meant to come here. I genuinely hope you all find the correct way to live your lives. A way that leaves you feeling joyful instead of fearful and angry with the rest of the world, while still loving Christ. This will be my final post on this board, as I said I know why it was that I came here now.

I find it hard to comprehend how you manage to interpret "lay hold on her" as "she submits to his acts". Is this simply the excuse you use when you rape women? If a girl doesn't notice your creepy looks soon enough to flee you grabbing and raping her does that really mean she wants it? Or are you really a rapist and thief of 50 shekels of silver?
