  • Stoning. It works for me.

Even though it's mudslimes doing this, I think it's a pretty good idea.

Indonesia's Aceh to allow stoning for adulterers

BANDA ACEH, Indonesia – Lawmakers in a devoutly Muslim Indonesian province voted unanimously that adulterers can be sentenced to death by stoning, just months after voters overwhelmingly chose to throw conservative Islamic parties out of power.
With only weeks to go before a new government led by a moderate party takes over in Aceh province, hard-liners still in control of the regional parliament pushed through legislation Monday to impose steep punishments for adultery and homosexuality.
The chairman of the 69-seat house asked if the bill could be passed into law and members answered in unison: "Yes, it can." Some members of the moderate Democrat Party, which will lead the incoming government, voiced reservations, but none of them voted against the bill.

Human rights groups said the law violates international treaties signed by Indonesia. The province's deputy governor also opposed the legislation, saying it needed more careful consideration because it imposes a new form of capital punishment.

The Aceh Party is also believed to have a less strict interpretation of Islamic law, or Shariah, and some activists expressed hope that once in power, they would amend or tone down the law. Others were considering contesting the bill in court in the capital, Jakarta.

Aceh, where Islam first arrived in Indonesia from Saudi Arabia centuries ago, enjoys semiautonomy from the central government. A long-running Islamic insurgency in the province ended in 2005 in the wake of the Indian Ocean tsunami that killed 130,000 there.

A version of Shariah that was introduced in Aceh in 2001 already bans gambling and drinking alcohol, and makes it compulsory for women to wear headscarves. Dozens of public canings have been carried out by the local Shariah police against violators of that law.

The majority of Indonesia's nearly 200 million Muslims practice a moderate form of the faith, and surveys suggest they do not support such hardline interpretations of the Quran, the Muslim holy book.

Stoning is legally sanctioned in varying forms in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and parts of Nigeria. Illegal stonings have also been reported in recent years in Iraq and Somalia. But its use is a point of contention among Islamic scholars.

The new Indonesian law also imposes tough sentences and fines, to be paid in kilograms of gold, for rape and pedophilia, but the most hotly disputed article was on adultery and states that offenders can be punished by a minimum of 100 lashings and a maximum of stoning to death.

It also imposes severe prison terms for other behavior considered morally unacceptable, including homosexuality, which will be punishable by public lashings and more than eight years in prison.

The bill violates national and international treaties signed by Indonesia protecting the rights of minorities and women, said a gay rights activist in Aceh who requested anonymity because he feared for his safety.

"It's discriminatory, and it's saddening, but we are quite sure members of civil society who are concerned with human rights will not sit by silently," the activist said, adding that he hopes the new moderate leadership in the province will overturn the law after taking power next month.

Aceh Vice Governor Muhamad Nazar said that even though his office opposed the clause on stoning to death it has no legal power to block it. "Whatever law is passed we have to enforce it," he said.

hmmmm, God's Word is very clear that adulterers must be put to death. We, God's servants, can do nothing but comply with His commands.

Father, if you need spiritual guidance in this area, kindly consult Exodus 20:14, Deuteronomy 22:22, Leviticus 20:10 and Proverbs 6:32. One of the Pastors will loan you a KJV1611, if your Catholic Bible is unfaithful in transmitting these Holy verses accurately.

This cause would two wrongs make a right; the Muslims would commit murder (wrong) by inflicting God's judgment (good) against a sinner (bad).

That's why the unsaved should never take God's law into their own hands.

I've always felt the unsaved with a Bible were a lot like a child with a gun. To properly use either, instruction must be given and a through understanding must be had. Effort to learn is required and time given to enable the full implications of the power held within. In the hand of a careless idiot, accidents can happen with deadly consequences.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Please note: Jesus doesn't say that nobody should cast stones.
He says that he who is without sin may cast stones.

And friend, he who abides in Jesus Christ is made sinfree (as 1 John 3:5-9 says).

Thus, Jesus expects True Christians(tm) to cast stones. Glory!

Re: Stoning. It works for me.

Now now, we must remember that stoning is different from the modern definition of "getting stoned." Nowadays getting stoned means consuming illicit drugs, instead of the Biblical meaning, where it meant having oversized pebbles lobbed at you until death.

Re: Stoning. It works for me.

Well, I never thought I'd live to see the day when I have to admit that maybe them Muslims got a leg up on us Americans, but today's the day. I hang my head in shame when I see how we now execute prisoners the "modern way" in the pansy-ass liberal Obamanation of America. We give the bad guys an overdose of three drugs. Of course, we "accidentally" forget the first one (sodium pentothal) so the executee is fully aware of what's happening. The second drug paralyzes him so he can't jump all around and make a fuss when he gets the third (painful) shot. Nevertheless, it's all so boring for the audience - nothing much to see but some dude getting an IV. If you didn't know better, you'd think he was getting a flu shot. What kind of fun is that? And to make it worse, only a few select people get to watch - you can't even buy tickets on TicketMaster.

Here in Texas, back in the old days they did it right - hang 'em high! Everyone turned out - mom, dad, grandma and the kids. Admission was free, and it was a real picnic. Some of the grannies would bake apple pies to share. Of course, they'd always do the hanging on a Sunday, right after church. Later in the afternoon, they'd play some church bingo - the winner would get the honor of cutting down the swinging body from the gallows. Folks in old Texas really knew how to have a good time.

Even in faggoty Massachusetts, back in the old days, executions were pretty exciting. In Salem, when they caught a witch, they'd just burn her at the stake. The great thing was that everyone could bring hot dogs and enjoy a barbecue at the same time. I can hardly think of a more entertaining way for the whole family to get together - even better than Monday night football.

And speaking of faggots, even the Frenchies were pretty cool to invent the guillotine. I'd love to have one of those just to chop wood.

But stoning - yeah, I can see where that might be even be more fun. If you're gonna have an execution, might as well invite audience participation. So, I'll give the Muslims one thumbs up. Now if they'd just give up their foul religion, we wouldn't even have to bomb them back to the Stone Age.

I may be wrong, but I think that it was "the FIRST stone" that had to be cast by he who is without sin. After that one, your basically good to go, right?

Still i think its cruel and sad.

I will personally be making a trip to this misguided country, and will be present at every single stoning, first in line, just to make sure the execution is Godly. I mean, if someone without Sin doesn't throw the first stone, what will happen?

That's very brave of you, Brother Robert, to go to Indonesia. It must be a horrible place, populated by Muslim Injuns all suffering from amnesia. I'm not sure what causes the amnesia, but it's probably all them Third World diseases. I've been reading that condoms prevent disease and all travelers should carry them, so I suggest that you wear one, 24 hours a day while you're there.

Since Muslims are by definition sinners, you're presence is definitely needed in Indonesia to cast the first stone. Just be careful that you don't get lured into any of them Injun casinos.

Have a safe journey, and whatever you do, don't drink the water.
