Man accused of having relations with dog 37 minutes ago

TACOMA, Wash. - A man accused of having sex with the family dog has been charged under the state's new animal cruelty law, which makes bestiality a felony, a prosecutor said.

Michael Patrick McPhail, 26, of nearby Spanaway, pleaded not guilty Thursday to one count of first-degree animal cruelty in Pierce County Superior Court.

Assistant Pierce County Prosecutor Karen Watson said McPhail was the first person in Pierce County to be charged with the new bestiality offense.

She said the dog was taken by animal control.

McPhail posted $20,000 bail on Friday.

Judge Katherine Stolz has set a trial date of Dec. 11.

McPhail's wife told investigators that she found her husband on their back porch Wednesday night having intercourse with their 4-year-old female pit bull terrier, the Pierce County sheriff's office report said. The dog was squealing and crying, according to charging papers.

The woman took photos with her cell phone and called the sheriff's office.

The bestiality law, which took effect in June, was prompted by a case near Enumclaw in which a Seattle man died after having sex with a horse. Before the law was enacted, Washington was one of 14 states where bestiality had not been explicitly prohibited.

Let me get this straight; a man had to die from being sodomized by a horse in order for the liebral tree-huggers in Washington to pass a law against the sin of bestiality!??

I'm going to ask the DOF to contact the woman mentioned above and get downloads of those photos of her boyfriend sodomizing the pit bull. We can use those to educate the children in Sunday School.

I'm of two minds on this.

One, of course it's disgusting.

Two, I'll bet dollars to donuts that man has a secular wife who considers begging a natural part of foreplay.

The problem here is why were his sexual needs not being met by his wife? Why did that poor guy have to stoop to having sex with his dog?

We all know how powerful a man's sex drive is. Secular feminazi's call us pigs while Jesus knows it's just a man demonstrating his superior ability to love unconditionally. We can hate you, make love to you, and still hate you after. We will never completely cut you off from our comfort wand.

While I agree bestiality is wrong, the real problem is women who do not understand their role as servants to men, and their main priority is to ensure the love of Jesus (as demonstrated thru men) is unhindered.

Thanks for this (hopefully unnecessary for most of us) reminder of Biblical law, Pastor Zeke. The man is no doubt, a Democrat and a "Free Thinker" as the Hell-bound call it.

As usual, I am disappointed that our Republican-led government has not immediately enforced the penalty as commanded by GOD. But perhaps, this being an election year, they have other priorities . . . I guess we should not question the motives of our Godly government . . . I know they know best.

The Scripture teaching that Mother Glynndie cited is not about animal cruelty, since it also commands us to slay the beast (in your modern lingo, put the poor doggie to sleep). Your PETA rantings are inconsistent with Scripture:

Gen. 9:2: And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth [upon] the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

So in forbidding beastiality, God was clearly concerned about human moral purity, not your woolly-headed, "let's make friends with the animals" liberalism.
