  • Christian Schoolmaster Persecuted

John Raymond, pastor of New Horizons Church in Slidell, Louisiana, as well as a valued member of his local Republican Executive Committee, was arrested for applying Biblically-sanctioned discipline to a student at the school that he oversees.

Authorities are crying "abuse" because Pastor John whipped a four year old across the buttocks. Also, he taped over the mouths of some older students who were talking too much.

If you are wondering why this innocuous story is being shared in a thread devoted to politics, it is because politics is clearly behind this crazy crusade against a Godly pastor and educator who is doing nothing more than following Our Lord's instructions as handed down in His Holy Word.

Gracious, but it is getting harder and harder to be a Christian in this country. Pretty soon, they will try shooting us in the legs just for going to church and attending Trump rallies. My heart goes out to the Pastor, his family and all those innocent children being denied the Biblical instruction that they deserve.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

The fruits of the Spirit are obvious to all who'll see. For a start, they're pretty well spelled out in the written record. Alternatives from God would accommodate what He'd already made plain. They would not endorse things He has already prohibited and would not remove things He explicitly commanded.

Making up something new, such as if you rob a bank you deserve a nice cake because you were deprived of cakes in infancy, is never going to work. What happens next is that everyone robs banks to get free cakes and no resources are left to build all the bakeries needed to meet the demand for cakes. A real lose lose.

God is not a loser. Teachers who follow God's method always get results. And those results have been very consistent over thousands of years. DIFFERENT methods would need backing up with different REASONS. If anyone hears one, feel free to post that reason right here. We'll read it and if you're right we'll change our minds. Who wouldn't?

The woke Communist Bidenites are out of control in our country. Those kids will probably be the best behaved kids in that school from now on.

Next they'll try to ban fire hoses, tear gas, and dogs to quell Black Lives Matter protests.

Both the public and those higher ups in school districts need to focus on goals, not micromanage classrooms. So, if the four-year-old kids can find their way to the rest room and back to the classroom, job done. Maybe they could learn to color inside the lines. But what happens to achieve these results is no ones business but that of the teacher.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Coloring outside the lines has to be the clearest indicator that a given child is destined to disobey his or her parents and reject Jesus, wouldn't you agree?
