I think the word derives from the Greek stalagmias for dripping / trickling, as in dripping with contempt and trickling onto others.

The socialite begins its life-cycle as an aspiring wannabe. The primary role is to spend colossal amounts of money trying to get things for free, typically entry into nightclubs and art galleries. As the socialite matures, it transitions from granting sexual access to passing the costs onto a semi-stable mating partner.

The endstage of the lifecycle occurs when said partner acquires a younger socialite. The ageing socialite enters the has-been stage. It cocoons itself in a remote mansion gathering scorn until it can re-emerge as a gaudy insect, 40lbs lighter with its skin stretched completely taut. If it manages to write a children's book or lure a rich but failed beta male then the socialite is considered re-invented and can complete another cycle.

Why? That is a difficult question - I will need to pray on that.

I can't say that I'm a fan of Jeffrey Epstein. If you're an adult man who wants to have sex with a fourteen year old girl, that's fine, but you need to do what the Bible tells you to do: marry her first.

It's 2.30am local time. I've started having terrible dreams again recently. The face that keeps appearing is like the distilled essence of Jeffery and Prince Andrew. I found a picture online - I'm scared because that's exactly what it looks like - please tell me this isn't a real person.
