  • Matthew 5:10

Matthew 5:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

In my morning Devotional, My mind drifted back to times where I was persecuted for trying to show the Godless heathens of Duluth the way to True Salvation(tm).
It reminded me that even though the world might hate me for doing Jesus' work, it's nothing compared to what is in store for me in the future!

I hope you continue to do Jesus' work, and not let Satan use the unbelievers in this world to dissuade you and drag you down. Those of us that are Christians that put our beliefs into practice and are vocal about God and His good works, will draw persecution like moths to a flame. But ask yourself the following; "Who are you more afraid of falling out of favor with? Your friends? Coworkers? Or God?" Our enemies are strong, numerous, and bloodthirsty, but they don't stand a chance against the 1 and only God. He's in charge, not them. Even though it seems at times like Satan is running the show, just remember that God is laughing at Satan's feeble attempts to destroy His creations. Think of God as the roadrunner, and Satan as Wylie Coyote...Satan's plans keep blowing up in his face, while God never loses stride. God bless you for all that you do.
1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Romans 12:9 "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."

Persecution is no joke. First they persecuted children who read Dr. Seuss, next they will persecute those who believe in the bible.

Not everyone is persecuted because of Jesus. Perhaps in your introduction you could highlight where persecution of Christians is outstripping persecution of humanists or moslems or Norwegians or even more depraved islanders?

If persecution of Christians hasn't started yet, your response will confirm the null hypothesis. (That persecution of Christians is NOT outstripping persecution of humanists et al.)

(Or that no-one is being persecuted.)

But if persecution is rampant as you suggest, particularly in Christian nations, data are required.
