  • Church offers drive-thru prayer

There's a drive-thru for practically everything, and at the Christian Life Center of Fort Lauderdale, there's even one for prayer. The Pentecostal congregation began the pray-'n-dash service last month, and it's gaining a following. Every Friday afternoon, right around Happy Hour, dozens of cars are waved into the church driveway. There, volunteers, some bearing signs that read "Having a Bad Day? Free Prayer," stand at the ready to join the drivers in prayer. "Many times they're at the end of their rope, and a lot of them have never come to church," says pastor Sol Levy, who leads the ministry. "This is less intimidating."

What will these joos dream up next? You know Sol Levy is passing the collection plate.

    Come climb my mountains.

Second Baptist tried something like that once, before I got there.

It didn't work out so well.

Woman drivers. Think they'd learn to use the driveway.
