  • Gen Z'ers, It Time to Leave Your Narcissism Behind

The generation now coming of age called generation Z is so focused on self they are ignoring Jesus. They are all about their cell phones, clothes, how much money they can keep and how they present themselves.

We here at Landover Baptist can help with that problem. By learning to live without sin, God has rewarded us with everything we need. We drive big new cars, live in splendid homes, own all the latest technology gadgets and dine on the best available. In doing this we are glorifying how God has rewarded us. We have left the human weakness of narcissism behind and do everything to the glory of God.

I pray members of Gen Z will find us so we can lead them out of their narcissism and to Jesus.

Along with discarding children, family and marriage, the Barna study revealed you weren t and aren t overall interested in caring for the poor, the needy, the widows and the orphans
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Mal. 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Isaiah 61:9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and theirs offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

Galatians 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Galatians 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Deuteronomy 28:8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
(all of Deu. 28 is good - first half is blessings, second half is curses)

John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Thank you, Brother James. I especially like Isaiah, "all that see them shall acknowledge them." We men on Freehold are acknowledged across the country for our political and financial success. I think we are the only U.S. city that received regular shipments of hand rolled Cuban cigars with the name of each owner imprinted on the cigar brand.

We do all of this, the money, consumer luxuries and recognition, without the narcissism displayed by Gen Z.

That is such a lovely thought, Miss Domgaard (may I call you Dominique?) and shows a charmingly optimistic nature. Unfortunately, the next generation has already been named Generation Alpha.
Researchers and popular media use the early 2010s as the starting birth years and the mid 2020s as the ending birth years.
So quite a lot of them haven't even been born yet. Labelled before birth - goodness, how sad! But there is little hope for these unfortunates, who are the children of the mostly defective Millennials and will be dragged-up rather than properly raised. And the Alpha business is just going to make them even more uppity and convinced of their own innate right-ness - not to be confused with righteousness.

If only all these people would stop "identifying" as individuals (while going along with whatever categories social-so-called-scientists invent), learn some social skills and
        .
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Who is defying whom in this scenario? It's difficult to align the parties with Scripture:
Deuteronomy 13:6-9a If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: but thou shalt surely kill him

I can't stand narcissists. Those youngsters should stop thinking about themselves for a minute and be more civic minded, like President Trump and Jesus.
