  • Polls Show Americans are Unhappy. LBC can Help

Here in Freehold, our church is filled with happy people every Sunday. We are healthy and wealthy. Polls show other places this is not the case. Here is a headline:

Americans are unhappier now than they have been in 50 years, survey shows

There is a malaise in our country. It comes from 8 years of a sin under the Presidency of a person of African decent. In order to recover from this state of unhappiness our country needs to, first, return to reading the Bible. In the Bible we learn Jesus was killed by his enemies but over came it with a resurrection. We to can look forward to beating death by living sin free lives.

The second thing our country needs to do is reelect President Trump. This cheerful soul is full of positive reinforcement and will lead us out of the despair from the Obama Presidency. Eight years of homerism being thrust onto our country plus rights of women to seek abortions is enough to make every Christian glum. Let's buck up the throw off this bad memory.

Americans are more unhappy in 2020 than they have been in approximately 50 years amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new survey
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Being bathed in the blood of Jesus should be enough to make anyone happy! It is such an easy state to obtain. I don't doubt that our beloved President Trump is bathed in blood as well.

No one who looks forward to an eternity in heaven gets downcast about rotten events here on earth. Those looking forward to such an outcome don't mind if the earth burns because mortal life is so unimportant.

In a way, black lives really don't matter-- nor do whites if you think hard. Unborn lives matter because those poor babies need a chance to hear about Jesus or they go straight to hell. But when you've got the joy of Jesus in your heart, those thoughts shouldn't disturb you too much. It's always better to focus on one's future in heaven than to make a fuss about things happening at the moment.

    2 Corinthians 4:17-18

    For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Now your talkin' Sister Handy. If every citizen gave up his/her sins and came to Jesus like we True Christians at Landover Baptist this would be a happy nation. No matter the present circumstances the glorious eternity coming at us brings a smile.

One thing that always helps us to understand God is the type of joy He brings. It is not the earthly joy, something mere humans can understand even if before seeing The Truth we didn't experience it very often. It's celebrated in pop music and modern art but never readily available.

It is the joy of tragedy. What is offered in Christ is not only beyond that, it's a different category of joy altogether. A happiness I needed to be shown existed which I'd never thought of myself. The joy celebrated in Psalms.

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

The more people move away from true joy, happiness as recorded in the Psalms, the greater the likelihood they'll forget it ever existed.

This all started when they took Jesus out of the schools and that all started when women started getting jobs and all of a sudden they were hiring all kinds of unsaved wretches for the job of teacher. Now they have unsaved rejects who can't get a real job doing all the teaching and no one is telling the children about Jesus. Thus they grow up hopeless, in an empty world, lost in the dark without God's light. It's only natural that they are unhappy. The cure, as usual, is more Jesus. More Jesus will solve everything.

This idea gives me great optimism for the future, Mr. Moss. There will be a day when the enemies of Jesus will be forced to bow their heads in Church and listen to sermons. There will be respect for the rules and the hierarchy by the authority of Jesus Christ our Savior. No man will dare be unhappy.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.
