The entire Billy Graham Last Will and Testimony was just released. I went right to it to see how much money he left to Landover Baptist Church. He was a Baptist, but from a liberal branch.

It is hard to believe but he stiffed us. Nothing for Landover Baptist. I can't recall any bad blood. Well, there was a lot of criticism here about his liberal views but other than that everything was OK. He left 10% to the Billy Graham organization. What a waste.

I think we should approach the Graham children and grandchildren and point out this oversight. Perhaps they would share a bit:

There was a crusade on TV when I was just a young, handsome, well built, intelligent boy of 8 or 9 with the Reverend Billy Graham. My mother watched his crusades even though she was a devout papist because she thought he was "cute." I remember wondering why he wasn't wearing robes and why no one in the congregation was standing and sitting, standing and sitting, kneeling and standing and sitting, etc. as they did in my church. It seemed pretty sedentary to me and I thought our congregation got much more exercise. My father used to go into his den and drink beer and watch westerns while mother enjoyed Mr. Graham.


One night she sent a check to his evangelistic association in Minnesota for one thousand dollars to help him conduct a crusade in Kenya. Your note made me think of how many others likely sent him scads of cash and how many of them were Baptist. It only seems fair that he would return some of that money to the one true Baptist church: Landover. Learning that he did not saddens me and I called my mother to tell her so. She just said, "You are all damned for eternity in purgatory or hell, so I don't want to talk about it. Get yourself to confession, son. Today."

I have already confessed my sins and Jesus has forgiven me. That account is settled, PRAISE GOD. It still pains me a bit that mother and father will be in the lake of fire but one mitigating factor is that at least my mother had some pleasure in her life fantasizing about Billy Graham and dad was able to get drunk and enjoy Bonanza.


I can't help but think Christ is not pleased Billy left Landover out of his will - but I wonder if He will cast Billy into that same lake of fire my parents will be swimming in forever? Only He knows.

Yes, he went to several awful continents. Generally after his visits the rates of atheism increased steadily as they continue to increase in places like Europe (except for explosions of Islam) or Australia or Britain which are actually islands but you get what I mean. That doesn't seem to gel with prayer requests for revival, offered by Graham.

John 14:12-14 [Jesus speaking] He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

By promoting liberal and secularist causes such as ecumenism, implying a commonality between all religions, was Christian revival thwarted in those places?

It's pretty clear from that that Christians are among the wrongdoers whom Allah guideth not. Verse 55 hammers it home. Muslims can only be friends with Allah and those who believe and since it's spelled out in verse 51 that they can't be friends with Christians it follows that Christians are not among the believers. What to do with those who disbelieve is covered elsewhere.

The results abound in those nations. Goths prowling around, insane made-up "gods" being foisted onto populations, emo poetry if that's not an oxymormon which if you've ever seen any it probably is, Europeans and Brits peeling away from their admittedly rather dubious Churches not to mention Australians who sprouting up from convicts and "free settlers" who'd managed to get away without being hung never had much to peel away from but the trend remains clear.

So unless Graham actually wanted this outcome it's difficult to see how his prayers have had any effect, other than a negative one.

In which case overlooking a bequest to somewhere actually witnessing to the Truth of Jesus and the Gospel so that people will know what they're being saved from seems less of an oversight and more of a deliberate strategy.

Though Billy Graham passed on his ministry to his son, he was not afraid to publicly disagree with him. In 2005, Larry King asked Billy what he thought about Franklin calling Islam “evil and wicked.” Billy responded, “Well, he has [his] views and I have mine. And they are different sometimes.”

Thank you Sister Mitza.

I've been thinking of pitching to our Pastors the idea of going to court over Graham's Will. It happens quite often that worthy friends, relatives and causes like Landover Baptist are pushed out of a Will at the last moment by greedy family members.

I heard through political circles that son, Franklin, had the most access to the father, Billy. Franklin, as we know, runs an operation that competes with Landover Baptist. I'm not making an accusation, just noting certain facts.

Billy Graham had nothing on me, I got the only copies. AFAIK, he had nothing on Landover as well.

I do know he also did not provide for Landover in his Will. God no doubt saw this selfish act and sent him to Hell. Sometimes, I have to wonder if Mr. Graham (Hymie Avgar) was a cheap joo. You know how they all are!
