I Peter 3:18

When Jesus was put to death in the flesh His blood ran out so that we could be saved.

He explained this so that we would know and also explained the alternative: everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels recorded in Matthew 25:41 – again so that we would know.

This in itself confirms Isaiah's prophecy.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
