  • The Vatican Rag Plays On

Harvard educated pencil neck LIEberal mathematician Tom Lehrer, often acclaimed to be a child prodigy, took to composing short patter songs in the early days of his career. One of his noted pieces was titled "The Vatican Rag" and, to the delight of his religion hating LIEberal friends, was a sendup of the cathylick wafers and beads.

In the end though ragtime music was known as a filthy abomination that corrupted the morals of youth, and ultimately led to jazz, loose women of the flapper era, gangsters, crime, corruption, and the excesses of prohibition.

At some point Lehrer simply stopped writing his whimsical little compositions - perhaps because some Jesuit thugs were dispatched from the Vatican to make him a deal he couldn't refuse.

Today's issue of pope watch concerns the Vatican running a deficit and stealing from the poor to keep their sodomy empire afloat. It definitely calls for a little ragtime background music while reading it.

Only 10% of Vatican’s $55 million ‘Peter’s Pence’ actually goes to poor, Wall Street Journal claims
    Dorothy Cummings McLean - Wed Dec 11, 2019 - 4:22 pm EST

NEW YORK, December 11, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Only about 10 percent of donations made to the Holy See’s “Peter’s Pence” actually goes to the poor while the majority of the annual collection, worth about $55 million USD, goes to plug Vatican budget deficits, a top U.S. financial newspaper is claiming.

Catholics from all over the world donate to a special papal fund called Peter’s Pence every year. The money is ostensibly used to support charitable enterprises dear to the pontiff’s heart. Today the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) alleged in a piece titled “Vatican Uses Donations for the Poor to Plug Its Budget Deficit” that most of the over $55 million collected by the fund annually “goes toward plugging the hole in the Vatican’s own administrative budget.”

According to the WSJ’s unnamed sources, only 10% is “spent on charitable works.”

“The little-publicized breakdown of how the Holy See spends Peter’s Pence, known only among senior Vatican officials, is raising concern among some Catholic Church leaders that the faithful are being misled about the use of their donations, which could further hurt the credibility of the Vatican’s financial management under Pope Francis,” wrote Francis X. Rocca for the WSJ.

According to the Vatican’s own webpage, Peter’s Pence is “the name given to the financial support offered by the faithful to the Holy Father as a sign of their sharing in the concern of the Successor of Peter for the many different needs of the Universal Church and for the relief of those most in need.”

The custom of sending money to the pontiff is believed to have begun with the Anglo-Saxons in the 11th century, when every household in England gave one penny towards the papal fund. The modern Peter’s Pence, international in scope, was established in 1871 by Pope Pius XI. The collection is taken up from church-attending Catholics on the Sunday closest to June 29, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul.

As the WSJ reported, the official Peter’s Pence website gives little indication that much of the funds may actually be going to support the Vatican’s administrative budget.

“The Peter’s Pence collection is a gesture of solidarity. Through it, every member of the faithful can participate in the Pope’s activity. It is an activity that supports the most needy and ecclesial communities in difficulty who approach the Apostolic See for help,” the site reads.

In its “Works Realized” section, readers can find a gallery of recent donations made by Pope Francis to various communities around the world, which range from 100,000 € ($110,794 US) sent to Albania in the wake of this November’s earthquake to undisclosed sums given to a boys’ school in Syria.

However, the WSJ notes that under church law, the pope may use Peter’s Pence fund in “any way that serves his ministry, including the support of his administration.”

brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

There are an estimated 1.2 billion Catholics in the world, according to Vatican figures.
    55,000,000 ÷ 1,200,000,000 ≈ 4⅗¢ per catholic.

LESS THAN 5¢ that's how much they think of Peter

Well, the solution is perfectly simple here. If only about 10 percent of the $55 million in donations actually goes to the poor then they need to give the poor a higher proportion, so that they could make bigger donations. That's just basic arithmetic.

The Vatican suffers from bad management. It could be so much better if all those Vatican officials wearing their girly robes would come to Freehold and be trained in church management by our Landover Baptist Pastors. They would learn the basics of powerful fund raising and efficient time management.

But, the Vatican won't come to Freehold because we have no tolerance for homerism.

Oh, yes, dear Brother Mayor Hold: Our Godly pastors could help these Cathyolick priests, but we do not need their type around our blessed . Why, they would only create trouble by causing homersexualistic scandals and tarnishing the good name of !

You'd think they'd never read what Peter wrote on these topics?

              II Peter 2
1b. There shall be false teachers among you
1c. Who privily shall bring in damnable heresies
1d. Even denying the Lord that bought them
1e. And bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2a. And many shall follow their pernicious ways
2b. By reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3a. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you.
4a. For if God spared not the angels that sinned.
5a. And spared not the old world
5b. But saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness.
6a. And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow.
              7a. And delivered just Lot
7b. Vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked,
9.. The Lord knoweth how to..reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished
10a But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness

              verse 1
Of all damnable heresies the one condemned most robustly in God's Actual Word is the manufacture of idols. Popes have a different opinion, denying the very definition of an idol, quite apart from what they do with them once manufactured.

              verse 2
How often do we hear about the number of idolators in this heretical creed? Having saturated their temples with idols (as defined by God) what else do they worship? Yes. Popes! By following their pernicious ways.

              verse 3
So perfectly describing popery – I've just underlined it.

              verses 5 & 6
There is righteousness and there's its antithesis. Noah understood that when all around him was about to be destroyed. Later on the debauch would take off in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha, calling down a thorough blast from God.

              verse 7
Here Peter goes out of his way to identify filth. Now that angeligender has emerged as an "identity" it will be easier for those wishing to pollute an angel to find one (within their mutual delusion) but Lot was not deluded and went to very considerable lengths to avoid contamination is this respect. Peter is referring to Genesis 19.

              verses 9 & 10
Peter is using an if…………then..format here. IF angels, the old world, the Sodomites, their co-debauchees (Gomorrha) and filthy conversations (e.g. social media) were not overlooked THEN you can bet your sweet Nellie that God knows what to do about the antics foretold by Peter and described in this thread!

You'd thing a pope would have read Peter. The way they go on about him. But either they never
bother to read his epistles or they do but are so deluded the can't see the forest for all the trees.

I would like to point out that ragtime music is mighty sinful, the only good music is a good prayer and hymn, thank you. What next from the Vatican? Negro jazz?
