I think perhaps a new snow shovel would be a great gift.

Sister, I would suggest you hit auctions, estate sales and stores like Value Village. The good stuff is expensive new. I'm also not a fan of anything 'non-stick'.

I have my share of cast iron, in fact I'm seasoning some of my pans right now. However, they do require a fair amount of work.

                    1. They have to be cleaned properly, no soaps, no dishwasher, just a plain steel wool pad and hot water.

                    2. They have to be seasoned properly

                    3. They are reactive to acidic foods such as tomatoes. Tomato sauce will rip the seasoning right off of it.

A good kitchen needs more than one type of cookware. Personally I don't like Teflon because the fumes it gives off kills birds (canary in the coal mine?) and when I see it flaking I think of how I'm probably eating that stuff. And of course I don't like the new Corning stuff.

Sweet Jesus sister why are you cooking tomatoes? That's Dago food! Don't tell me that you feed pasta to Seth.

Sister BIG, I care about you, I really do but... this silly talk of pots and pans in the open forum has got to stop. Can't you cackle about it with the ladies during Sunday afternoon tea instead? We do not want our wonderful visitors and guests to think this is a Julia Child website now, do we?

Folks, Baby Jesus is having a birthday soon, be sure to be ready for the party. Clean up the barn for your re-enactment.

In the second pull down select King James Version. The first text box is where you enter in key words to get verses those words are in.

After visiting the Hutchins home last spring and watching his lovely wife hard at work in the field. I realised the absolute perfect gift. If I had a wife you can bet she would get a brand spankin new plow, and if she was a real good wife, possible a horse too.
