In today's news is Ernst doing a very male thing, using the bird to express her views on the Iowa Caucus. He/she says the Democratic Party gave the Midwest the middle finger.

This turn of phrase is not used by proper women. Ernst is using his/her male swagger.

When they brazenly advocate healthcare death panels to kill off Republican voters, e.g. by refusing to withhold the COVID vaccine, it's no surprize to see Democrats flip the midwest the bird. It almost seems too weak - a faint faynt feint maybe - we at the Church have been bracing for a communist takeover for more than 2 or 3 decades. Why bother with the bird when you can summon a bloodthirsty liberal militia?
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

How can it not hurt Iowa? Any sin hurts us. You'd better change your ways, Joni.

We Republican leaders in the State of Iowa decided we cannot allow one of our Senators to vote for homers. It just cannot be.

There has been countless whispered conversations and meetings. We don't use emails because we don't want to do what Hillary did.

The decision was made to jerk Senator Ernst's chain. The local Republican Party has censured her. We thought that would humble her and would be lesson learned. Instead, she is lashing back, trying to say her voted will not hurt the Party or Iowa. Sin will not hurt anyone? Get real, Senator Ernst.

If she is looking for big money for her next campaign, she had better shape up fast.
