    All the best, YIC.
    Thank you, I didn't notice it at first. I thought that Matthew chapter 1 showed a direct lineage from Jacob, not Esau, to Jesus. Or does it not?
    Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

      Re: Hello!

      Welcome to you then, Abraham. Even Jews are welcome here if they come seeking furtherance of their relationship with Jesus and for fellowship with Christians. Many believe that the Jews are damned to Hell for killing Jesus up on Golgotha, using their proxies, the godless Romans. And they are, but salvation is still possible for the individual. God gives us free will and we are to use it to abide by His will. Thus, even a Jew could be saved and ascend to heaven one day.

        Welcome David. I hope you do not plan to joo Jesus.
        While God may of forgiven you for trying to kill Him, it upsets me to see people who try to enslave others, especially with nails. It just seems so, well, barbaric. What have you got to say for yourself?

        On a personal note, you must love all the free Salmon where you are.
        Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
        Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
        Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
        Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
        Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
        Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

          Thanks for the comment.
          I'm not trying to enslave anyone, I am just trying to get an answer about what Matthew chapter 1 says with regards to Jesus being an Edomite, as per what the like I was kindly provided with states.

            If you actually read and understood my post, you'll notice that I said I was Messianic. I would suggest looking up words you haven't heard before posting hateful comments about them. I love and believe in Jesus, I don't hate him. Use the Internet next time, it's a wonderful tool.
            As for myself,I attend a synagogue every Sabbath. We read and believe in the entire Bible.
            You deserve an infraction for that, hooknose! You'd think that after the multigenerational sh!tstorm Jesus has unleashed upon you people, you'd eventually learn to prostrate yourselves at the feet of your betters! Uppity!

              I am shocked to learn that Jesus was not Jew. I would love to see the scripture reference so I can correct my misguided belief.
              First lines were for the one wearing magic slippers.

              Fair enough friend. I, too, was fooled by this teaching at one time but then you have to realize who controls public schools, media and so on.

              Think you meant Malachi. Pardon the single post link...here's the entire thread...still not a jew.

                How can someone have an infraction? One can commit an infraction, but one cannot have one.

                  No, I meant Matthew. Matthew chapter 1:2 mentions Jacob, not Esau.

                    Why do say that I have a hook-nose? You know nothing of my appearance. And what do I deserve an infraction for?

                        It is pretty clear to me, if only you would take the time to read it. Remember, God had the Bible written with clarity and simplicity, knowing well that many Christians may not be scholars and therefore, had to put it in plain words.
                        Matthew 1
                        1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
                        2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
                        3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
                        4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
                        5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
                        6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
                        7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
                        8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
                        9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
                        10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
                        11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
                        12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
                        13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
                        14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
                        15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
                        16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
                        17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
                        18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
                        19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
                        20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
                        21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
                        22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
                        23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
                        24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
                        25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
                        Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
                        Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

                          I am a Messianic Jew currently living in Canada. I came across your site while looking up shekel conversions to today's currency. I think you have some interesting ideas, and will continue to read through them.

                          Have a nice day.
                          Don't be silly. There is no such thing as a "Messianic Jew." There are Jews, and there are ex-Jews, but no such thing as a Jew/ex-Jew. That doesn't even make sense.

                          Say, why not leave behind your Hebrew ways and follow Christ into Everlasting Life?

                          Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
