I've listened to that with the amount of interest appropriate for a topic that's not about Jesus and noticed a map around the 3¼ minute mark. The so-called Ottoman Empire had slimed its way down the Arabian coast which, if the "empire" was controlled from Asia minor and/or had strong Persian contaminants, would surely be an affront to the Arabians.

So much for ancient history. Now, however, the Arabian penisnular is firmly in the hands of the Arabians themselves. How were the Ottomans dislodged? By whom? Did they all just blow themselves up? No. It was because they joined hands with protofascistic syndicalist dynasties following crackpot ideologies and they all went down the gurgler together. The map I screenshotted indicates the region concerned. Thank you for that information. But are the Arabians grateful for this?

What could I honestly do even if I were a muslim to a group of forums? Really. And besides, when is the last time you heard of a muslim listening to metal music? It's actually abhorent to them; they see it as a part of America, like Rock, and hate everything about us.

We've seen how once liberated from Ottoman control (even Mecca and Medina were vassal states) the Arabians were so happy to have their desert back they couldn't do enough to show their appreciation for the liberators who enabled them to run the place any way they fancied! Awash with oil they could now sell the stuff at any price they decided and everyone simply paid for it and got on with inventing more (and much more fuel efficient) machines. Yay!

WHOOPS! (wrong liberation) They rehashed their delightful concept of THE GREAT SATAN and yes, we've all heard their ridiculous rationale for that which—compared and contrasted with attendant actions thereafter—demonstrate an important principle. In the first part of this reply we recalled an earlier discussion involving a band called Theocracy.. The same principle applied there. Never having heard of this band I took a listen hardly suffices but I don't want to clog the post up with smileys and this is where the warning applies. Sure, you can listen to the drummer if you want to but the salient feature of this ditty is the lyrics. They've supplied them in big writing for the intended audience.

If you made it through that you'd notice at the end a reference to a city on a hill not being able to conceal itself. Very much precisely what the lyrics contradicted, the light having gone out, the darkness glomming down. But the message applies well to the end of the Ottoman Empire. What has risen up in its place is unmistakeable, a black lighthouse for all to see. What do words matter in the face of such an obvious ideology? It permeates everything they do and say.

And how like the emo, I thought. Whether they apply their world view to rock music or the tortured warbling of ostrich strangulation make no difference. With his one track mind Mussolini was going down. They hung him up like a bat. Jesus was hung too, hung on The Tree but unlike Mussolini, Jesus died to set us free.

Whether encouraging one to sit in the corner and slice up one's arm or prance around screeching blowing oneself up, regardless of musical genres, by their fruits they make their ideology known. Can we say that mohammedanism is also a form of emo? Surely it's a question worth asking.

The British, with help from Jews and Arabs, who had both been promised Palestine ("the promised land") and neither of whom got it. How can they complain - When you have kids fighting over a toy, you just take the toy away so neither of them can have it.

Since this is World War One we're talking about, you can assume the answer is a metaphorical yes.

When the British reneged on a deal to deliver two warships, The Ottomans decided that an all-out war to the death was the appropriate retaliation (the concepts of "de-escalation" and "tit-for-tat" were not well developed at the time.) Thus died a 600 reich, though their current leader is working on a revival.

But are the Arabians grateful for this?

Like the Libyans (Liberated from Mussolini's Blackshirt Parade in WW2) they are not.

They care less about the competence of their government than the skin color of their ruler.
Peace, order, good government? That's horrible imperialism (Because ruler has white skin). Chaos, war, corruption, famine, genocide, torture chambers? Yay, freedom (ruler is swarthy)!

They would rather be in the room with a swarthy torturer than with a white teacher.

Of course, True Christians are nothing like this. Did we ever criticize Obama for seeming foreign to us? No - and I dare anyone to find any evidence of this anywhere.

This is true. When he started his activism in the 1920s, he went by the name "Benemo."
