    Banned Books Week

    Good day Brothers and Sisters.

When I first happened across this organization I thought it was a group of dedicated staunch Conservatives. Their home page had pictures of satanic books that have no place in our schools, library's or homes and then I started reading.

Banned Books Week is the only national celebration of the freedom to read. It was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. More than a thousand books have been challenged since 1982. The challenges have occurred in every state and in hundreds of communities. Click here to see a map of book bans and challenges in the US from 2007 to 2009. People challenge books that they say are too sexual or too violent. They object to profanity and slang, and they protest against offensive portrayals of racial or religious groups--or positive portrayals of homosexuals. Their targets range from books that explore contemporary issues and controversies to classic and beloved works of American literature.
Positive portrayals of homers? Really? That friends is an oxymoron. Scroll down, you can see a list of aforementioned "books", some of which I am pretty sure Landover lobbied to have banned.

It gets worse. Then I come across this!! A public reading of these satanic verses!!!

Banned Books Week (September 25 – October 2) celebrates the freedom to choose and express your opinion. The Puyallup Public Library will be hosting a Read Out on Thursday, September 30, 6:30 - 7:30pm. We’re looking for a few good readers to help us celebrate by reading selections aloud from various banned and challenged books. All ages are welcome to come and listen! Refreshments will be provided.
Washington is a bit a jaunt for me but I think I'll be packing up the Aerostar and making a visit with my KJV1611 (The ONLY book decent folks should be reading from). I've speakers on top of my van from previous protests and plan on reciting scripture drowning out these freethinking liberal heathens.

The battle for the right never ends friends - I would encourage you all to see if you can attend. PM me if you are interested, we'll get to organizing.
-Every young man's battle - PORN AND MASTURBATION![/SIZE]
-DISOWN your ATHEIST children - just like this good mother did!!

-FINALLY!! Some rights for the rapists!!
-There is no such thing as animal abuse!!
-Pregnancy through RAPE is a GIFT from God
-Keep the Fags out of the Boy Scouts!!
-WIVES!! Stay in your abusive relationship!

STOP, DROP & ROLL DOESN'T WORK IN HELL!!!!

    Re: Banned Books Week

We need this. Way to often we hear about minority groups "rights". What about us REAL American's RIGHTS to have the lifestyle we want? Free of perverted books in our libraries like Catcher in the Rye. It is about time we took control of our nations libraries back from the socialist American Library Association and use them the way our Founding Father Intended. Remember every copy of Catcher in the Rye,The Color Purple and To Kill a Mocking Bird is one less copy of a reclamation classic like Talking to Idiots, Treason and Liberal Fascism in our nation's libraries.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

    Hot Must ReadThreads!

Time to come clean on Benghazi Mr Obama!

I don't see the Koran on their banned books list. Why? How are Christians to have religious freedom if that blasphemous filth can be displayed at any public library, paid for with Christian tax dollars?
      Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!
