Why is being bipolar considered hip?
A few years ago, very few had even heard the term "bipolar". More knew about the old term "manic–depressive disorder", which was the name of the possession before it become hip.
Rarely is the question asked: why do millions of teens suddenly think it's cool to be bipolar? Read my lips: there is nothing "cool" in having mood-swings and being manic. It's just as simple as choosing to keep the same mood as you had five minutes before. Imagine how the traffic would work if everyone switched from right-hand to left-hand traffic randomly. And no, medical treatments is not the answer. Christian Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) have proven that psychiatric drugs make you gay. All you need is faith, willpower and staying away from sinners. |
Re: Why is being bipolar considered hip?
"Bipolar", "ADD", and "Lactose/Gluten intolerant" are all buzz words being pushed by the liberal politically correct media. If you are not using newspeak you can just say: 'Bitch', 'bad', and 'ungrateful for the food that God has provided'.

My mood is always the same and I never needed any medication for that.
Today's parents refuse to do God's bidding by properly raising their children. Instead they have gay orgies all the time and use medication as substitute for raising their children. But it doesn't work that way! Either you properly raise your children, or you and your children will burn in Hell for all eternity! Cranky Old Man's Easy Guide to RAISING CHILDREN! |

Great guide there, Cranky Old Man
I am now writing an internal strategy paper for CCHR, about proper parenting when a child chose to have a mood swing. A firm beating is what works. Repeat until the kid keep the right mood. |
Re: Why is being bipolar considered hip?
Sometimes I get annoyed when I, for example, hear liberal queers trying to make their lack of character a diagnosis the rest of us should feel sorry for them for.
Sometimes I get happy when I, for example, read the Bible. That doesn't make me bi-polar. Having emotions that adapt to what happens in our lives is natural and normal. When will these liberals understand? Anybody who is right with God doesn't need medication. |
Re: Why is being bipolar considered hip?
Bipolar is not hip, cool or nice. It is not something you choose, it is just chemicals in your head. A mania is caused by an overload of the happy-hormone dopamine, and a depression is caused by a lack of dopamine and serotinine.
But of course both episodes can simply be prayed away, since God can manage those chemicals. You will be fine, as long as you don't get psychotic in the mania and forget all about Our Lord Jesus Christ. :jesus: |

And just for your information; I really don't care about popularity or make up, or premarital sex (murdering baby's? is that still allowed?) but they DID got me hospitalized against my will in a mental asylum for having a mania. I got many terrible pills (seroquel, temazepam, etcetera), and it went on for months until I finally woke up of the godless illusions of psychosis. Then, I returned to the True Lord; God, and His son Jesus Christ. I love them with all of my heart and worship them ever since. I've been off the meds since I was released from the hospital, and only on the prayers, with as a result; no more depressions or psychosis, only a happy life. :innocent: |

Re: Why is being bipolar considered hip?
You guys are so ignorant.
I was diagnosed with manic depressive disorder when I was thirteen, and it's been hell. Goodness gracious. I actually seldom tell people about it because it's so "cool" to have it. Yeah, I suppose you're right, in that people now romanticize disorders, but claiming that you can just pray it away is absolutely ridiculous, and sort of mean. There is such a thing as a euthymic state, you know. It's not always extreme moods. However, when manic or depressive episodes are present, they suck. And usually when I'm manic I take lithium and it helps, but I couldn't imagine how much worse it'd be if my parents beat me up like you say they should. In fact, I'd probably have a panic attack if they did and wow that would probably kill me I don't even wanna think about that. When people are manic, they're really really happy or irritable and they make quick and rash decisions and usually when I'm manic I don't sleep or eat a lot or if I had my way I wouldn't sleep or eat at all. And I've missed countless days of school because of this and once I crashed my car and also once I punched a mirror and literally danced in the little shards of glass, barefoot. When people are depressive, they're really sad and lonely and they feel worthless and when I'm depressive I always feel like I'm the textbook definition of crazy and alone even though I'm not and sometimes people contemplate suicide and it's really not fun at all. There's in between, such as hypomanic and hypomanic isn't really bad because you just feel really euphoric and sometimes it's nice and productive but there's also and mixed state which is manic and depressive at the same time and that's really bad and not fun at all. Bipolar is not hip, and anyone that thinks it is is almost as ignorant as you. Just in a different way. Thinking that it's just mood swings is really dumb and rude and if you're going to talk about this mental illness like you know everything about it without having hands-on experience then at least read the wikipedia page or something. BUT, where you're wrong is that medical treatment and therapy are the answer. Praying isn't going to wipe away the manic or depressed feelings. But different chemicals and pills and stuff can reverse the effects of an episode and therapy can help you figure out your triggers to help stop it and.. and you guys are making me mad. Why don't you just leave these subjects alone? Science obviously isn't your best bet, so why even talk about it? Why belittle things that people don't even choose to have and wish they didn't have? Making them feel worse? fnjkdnxehdcedknede I'm out. |

Who knows: perhaps it was all your parents fault for being dirty heathens. Are they muslimbs? Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. YIC |

God does not care how ugly you are (though ugly people often are not allowed in the LBC Cathedral, it looks badly on the Pastors when the TV cameras pan the audience). Stop blaming your problems on a rattling brain. Accept responsibility. Get right with Jesus. Stop acting all retarded and self centered. It is not all about you, it is about God.:innocent: When I was young, we used to just lock you people away until you snapped out of it and got with the program. How I miss the good old days! |
Re: Why is being bipolar considered hip?
The joos have worked hard over the last 50 years to convince as many Americans as possible that they are some kind of a victim, so that they can claim "it's not my fault" every time they sin.
The truth is, sin IS your fault. Ever since Eve tricked Adam into taking a bite of that apple, sin has been your fault. God had His own son temporarily killed to wash your filthy sins clean with His blood! Can you imagine the love there? I guess you can't. The retardeds are no different. If they would just give their lives over to Christ Jesus, He would wash the crazy right out of them! |
