  • Why do you believe Jesus supports violence

As an Agnostic, I never take any beliefs for granted. I believe in some ultimate reality that generally supports good morals. But if signs show up pointing to an established religion being truthful, I'll think about becoming a follower.

But I also like to hear opinions from others and I think sometimes you "Born-Again" folks are somewhat misrepresented. So that is why I'd like to have some questions answered.

My first question involves how you are able to loathe groups such as the Muslims, Jews, Asians, homosexuals, and others. While the Bible itself outright condemns certain people (such as homosexuals), your Saviour Jesus seems to be quite the pacifist. For instance, when one of his disciples cuts off the ear of a Roman guard, Jesus does not like it and puts the ear back on. This guard was his enemy. How do you explain this?

    Friend,

We don't loath these people silly. We loath sin. We are battling for Satan for these poor hapless sinners souls to rescue them form eternal damnation. It doesn't matter to us if they are homosexuals, axe murders, serial rapists, Muslims or Democrats we are doing our best to help them.

Is it wrong to care friend?

    Is it?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

You're just a pantywaist who would let his little sister walk all over him. Your problem has nothing to do with beliefs or morals.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

As an Agnostic, you are doomed to eternity in HELL! Wash yourself in the Blood of Jesus and save your soul. Do it now. Don't delay. You may die this very minute! I will pray for you.

        Yours in Christ

        Brother Lazarus
In the Beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1.1. This scripture is the first verse of the Bible for a reason. It lays the foundation for the absolute truth found in God's Holy WORD, the Bible.

Kindly quote the verse, in context, that you are referring to.

Here's something that Jesus said for you to consider.

Luke 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
            Who Will Jesus Damn?

I can do that from memory. It is the eighteenth Book of John. Someone came to arrest Jesus and JOOdas was standing there to point Him out. Some say Malchus was a Roman Centurion, but no. He was merely the servant of a JOO, although he had Roman soldiers with him. The passage in question is this one:

              John 18:10

"Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus."

                Just out of curiosity,

                - How do you explain the turning of the other cheek?
                - Jesus' forgiveness of his executors as he died?
                - the exhortation to love our enemies and love our neighbors?

How can you justify when Jesus himself rejected a violent nationalistic overthrow of the Roman oppressors?

Jesus knew that unless money was involved the JOOS would never agree about anything and end up being slaughtered. He was trying to hold off the civil war until they got organized. They wouldn't listen to him, they never got organized and they got slaughtered.

                  It's really not very complicated.

That's the spirit, Jordan! Yes, all sinners ARE going to Hell!

However, it's not for us to wish unpleasantness upon them. That's God's job. We just warn them of what is to come.

Keep trying, you'll get it right!

Theres really no point in this, these people won't budge. I've learned that so I've stopped trying as hard to convince them, cause its never gonna happen.

But Lissy, you can change them. Just find a quote in the bible that supports your point of view and ensure there is no other quote that contradicts it...

                            and viola!

                            They will have to agree!

The hard part of course is trying to find a quote that fits that criteria...
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

There are no contradicting quotes in the Holy Bible. Why not actually read one instead of just talking about it?
