I will start of by saying I hope I don't get in trouble by being here. I just want to ask a few questions. I am an athiest. I only beleive things that I see or are proven. This does not mean that someone wrote something in a book and now it becomes the truth.

I ask people all the time to prove that god exists. Yet no one has given me an solid proof.

Cam you prove to me that he exists and how

Friend, we get so many Atheists in here that I've lost count.
You are obviously here looking to get with Jesus.
I can understand why you think there may not be a God, but there most certainly is.
Look around you at all of Gods wonderful works.
Then go and read the King James Bible.
That is certainly real and is the True Word of God.
Then you have to accept Jesus into your life and have Faith that he will Save you from Hell.
Isn't he wonderful?

I gave you proof that God is in The Bible. I think you'll find he gets quite a few mentions actually.
Now, I have a Bible on my desk here in front of me. My desk is real, my Bible is real and the words within the Bible are real. How much proof does a Christian need?

The Bible is The Word of God.
This Bible in front of me is real because I can touch it and feel it. The words are real because I can read them.
Your questions don't make any sense my Atheist friend.

John 3:32-34

To be fair "solid proof" is a relative term, is it not? What is "solid proof" for Alan might not be "solid proof" for Bruce. My definition of solid proof might include things you would immediately discard or scoff at without any real analyzation, likewise you may be asking for more proof than you need.

There is such thing as being so far skeptical that you can't accept anything around you. Did OJ kill Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman?

"Fair enough...his alibi for that night didn't check out."
"Nope."
"There was blood trails and DNA evidence. OJ's blood was at the crime scene!"

"Wait, how could it have been planted? Cops stole OJ's blood in the middle of the night and framed them?"
"No...don't twist it around. The burden of proof is on you: You have to prove OJ killed them."

Thanks to this super-skeptical thinking (and some clever lawyering and racial bias on part of the jurors), an actual murderer went scot-free. You see, where do you draw the line on "evidence". This is the crux of the whole theist vs atheist argument: What you have hear is two parties disagreeing on what constitutes valid evidence to support a belief in God.

Talitha offered you evidence: The King James Bible. READ IT. Study it. If you don't accept it, you don't accept it. Just like the OJ Jurors refused the evidence before them.

Think about this. You are in your home. How do you know that peole you have not met exist? How do you know if anyone who has responded to you are real? The answer is you do not. But, based on being alive with the capability of self awareness, you are able to deduce some facts. You have spoken to people and then at some point, have actually met them. So it is reasonable to deduce if you communicate with someone, they are real. We all commincate with God. You can too.

The only person who gave me a decent answer was Rev. Jim Osborne. Which he basiclly said that people have different guidlines as to what makes something believeable or not.

Everyone else basically said the Bible. Which I stated in my first as well as other posts that it is just a book.

My point being that I could write a book saying some crazy thing and because it is written down it is proof. You say the Bible is god's word. How do you know? By the bible telling you it is is conflicting with the "anyone could write it" theory.
