  • Formally introducing myself

Hello everyone. Some of you know me already, either personally or through my step-grandmother-in-law***, but I am aware that the correct procedure here is to start with an introductory thread. Obedience to the Holy Bible (KJV 1611), to the Pastor and to my husband (in that order) are the only rules I need to live by.

So, I'm Joanna. I live on the coast of Kent, in the south-east of England. Kent is known as "the garden of England". Unfortunately it bears more resemblance to the filthy Garden of Earthly Delights than to the Garden of Eden. But God calls us to serve where he needs us most, and when we have proved our worth then he will reward us if he sees fit to do so.

I am the proud wife of Matthew and the loving mother of 6 children, 5 boys and a girl. Number 7 (please join us in praying for a boy) is due in November. I am also stepmother to Matthew's 3 girls by a previous marriage. His first wife died in childbirth - we sometimes wonder whether she turned up her toes in despair at producing a third daughter.

We all attend Cecil Square Baptist Church. It's not ideal, but Pastor Steve does the very best he can, given the material he has to work with.

It is so difficult to choose a single Bible verse. My current favorite is shown in my signature.

    Yours in Faith,
    Joanna

*** Affectionately known here as Mrs Hun - this did make the family laugh! She will almost certainly not be around for a while, having been sectioned this evening under the Mental Health Act, but I am not sure how much of this I should share in public?

A cautious to you, Mrs. Matthew Vasey. I do thank you profoundly for taking your time to read the instructions and actually follow them. I know it's such a difficult task to accomplish for a feeble minded woman.

Thank you for your welcome, Sister. I hope it's not too presumptuous to call you Sister? I have heard so many good things about you from "Mrs Hun" that I want to feel that we are already friends, even though her judgment is not to be trusted.

Poor Dorothy (did she ever tell you her first name?) seems to have really lost the plot, though. At 94 I suppose it's only to be expected? Friends of Dorothy might want to know the background. It started back in July, when there was a misunderstanding over a birthday party. We happen to share a birthday, everyone turned up at my party (Dorothy had forgotten to post the invitations to hers and claims she never received the invitation to mine) and it just escalated from there. I won't bore you with the details now, though I may reveal them later, when we know each other better

But now I must check that Agnieszka has cleaned the kitchen before I go to bed.

        Welcome, Sister.

It is good to hear from one of the few Christians left in godless England. Life must be hard for you there among the Mohammeddeans.

How do you cope with the constant jihad against White people and especially against Christians? It's a wonder you haven't been killed in your sleep.

Do tell us of your adventures with Jesus.

        God Bless!

          Welcome Mrs. Vasey,

You sound like a lovely, Godly woman, even though you are stuck in godless, dangerous England! I will keep you in my prayers. I pray that I will get to know you better! I also love your signature...so many of the girls in my age group forget that!

            Re: Formally introducing myself

I have to provide a cautious welcome to you sister. I notice that your last name is hyphenated? I know that here at Landover Baptist Church our pastors frown on such feminazi behavior. Just listen to this quote from who is clearly a Godly man being interviewed about the subject says

“I believe the purpose of marriage is raising children, and children take their father's name (as a way of identifying paternity). Mothers always have a special bond, carrying their young. Fathers don’t, so [passing on our name] is our compensation.” —Matthew Bratcher

So I have to ask why is your husband so weak as to not demand you accept his last name and drop your maiden name? But more importantly why do you have your husband, your children and God so much?
Revelation 19:15-16 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords."

Ah, I think what we have here is a case of cultural misunderstanding, Mr Helwys. In (sadly mostly Godless) England it is rare for the feminazi to even marry. Obviously it is unusual for her to be asked. But if she does marry, then she tends to retain her own name and not take her husband's AT ALL!

The habit among the Godless in the United States of hyphenating the husband's and wife's surname has fortunately long gone out of fashion here, except for financial gain.

My maiden surname was Allchurch. Lytton-Vasey is my husband's surname. I believe that historically, the Vasey children were given Lytton as a middle name in honor of an ancestor. Over time, the name became part of the surname - perhaps to distinguish them from some other Vasey family? I really do not know the details and my husband is out playing golf.

Your first question is now irrelevant, and I would politely ask you to retract the suggestion that Matthew is a weak man. I do not understand your second question.

I will not retract my question as you are new here and a woman I may point out. 1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence?" And as with all foriengers I am highly skeptical of your devotion to Christ, particularly since you come from Old Europe and not more Godly New Europe as the brilliant Donald Rumsfeld pointed out several years ago.

And frankly it's not any of our faults you are in Godless England. There are things called airplanes that can move you and your family out of Satan's death grip. Further, English customs over names are not Godly American Christian Values ℗ that we hold here in God's Favorite Country. You best ask your husband, who you'd better be submissive to (Ephesians 5:22) , that it maybe time to live the example of American Christian Values and make your name more Godly and more American. I'd suggest something like Reagan, Bush or Perry. Those are very strong American names.

I can't seem to find it?

You seem very angry, Mr Helwys.

I certainly know my place, and it is really not appropriate for me to interfere in men's business and ask my husband to move our family or change his name. This is a matter between him and God. If God wishes him to do either, I am secure in the knowledge that He will communicate this to Matthew, either directly or through a Pastor.

I can only assume that Our Lord has plans for us here, just as He has decided that Brother Elmer is needed in the cold countries and Brother Titus in the Germanic regions. We know so little of the detail behind His Holy Plan.

                    Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Please don't get the wrong idea, Sister. We do not seek to run you off. Kindly understand our angst.

On the one hand, we know there are a few Christians left among the English and they are in need of fellowship with other Christians. Those Christians are welcome here, even though they are English.

On the other hand, we know that most of the English these days are from some godless Arab country like Pakistan or Somalia. They hate Christians and come here often to threaten us and try to intimidate us. We do not fear them, as the Lord is our shepherd, but we do find them tiresome.

When another person comes from England, we are always in mind that they could be agents of Satan and Allah. If you are true to Jesus, we will know and accept you.

If not, God will know it and you will have to burn in Hell with all the rest of the Muslims.

                      God Bless!

Why are you judging me to be angry? I certainly would never judge anyone except to point out what the Holy Bible says about their behavior. Matthew 7:11 "Judge not, that ye be not judge". Though I maybe slightly harsh in my correct use of Biblical teaching to someone who is in a country who on several occasions has decided to allow a woman be head of state I will move on in the spirit of Christian love and accept that not all of us are as blessed by Jesus to live in His Favorite Country on Earth.

I assume you meant to type Matthew 7:1, rather than Matthew 7:11?

Landover's own Rev Jim Osborne preached a most interesting sermon on this: The Most MISUNDERSTOOD Passage in All the Bible (Matthew 7:1-5).

I must go now, as I have to get 9 children to church on time in the morning and need to get everything organized the night before. Goodnight.

I will explain. No time right now as we're just off to church. Agnieszka (who may never be a True Christian(TM) but is at least an ex-Cathlick ) is just loading everyone into the cars and will follow on the bus.
