Re: Our policy on avatars
For my personal avatar, I chose the more contemporary image of the Buddy Christ, only because one of my favorite brainworms is the hymn, "Tell it to Jesus". The precious words describes my daily walk with my Lord because I'm walking and talking with him constantly, or when I just feel like skipping down "the path of righteousness, for His namessake" (Psalm 23:3), and sharing my deepest darkest secrets with my best buddy forever (BBF) ... it goes:
Are you weary, are you heavy hearted?
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.
Are you grieving over joys departed?
Tell it to Jesus alone.
Refrain
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus,
He is a friend that’s well known.
You’ve no other such a friend or brother,
Tell it to Jesus alone.
Do the tears flow down your cheeks unbidden?
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.
Have you sins that to men’s eyes are hidden?
Tell it to Jesus alone.
Refrain
Do you fear the gathering clouds of sorrow?
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.
Are you anxious what shall be tomorrow?
Tell it to Jesus alone.
Refrain
Are you troubled at the thought of dying?
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.
For Christ’s coming kingdom are you sighing?
Tell it to Jesus alone.
Refrain
Catchy, huh?
I like whistling it, too ... after all, it all about making that "joyful noise" (Psalm 100:1a)!
"Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus, he is a FRIEND that's well known! You've no other, such a FRIEND, or brother! Tell it to Jesus alone."
"... And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Revelation 13:17-18)

Re: Our policy on avatars
Praise !
After some prayer, I decided to change my avatar to a real picture of myself. Although I just went Straight-4-Jesus© and I i'm totally in love with my , I realize my wretched sinful nature and risking Hell-fire is not worth the sacrilege.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
My iniquities and transgressions temporarily killed my . Eternity is no laughing matter, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
Yours in ,
James, a wretched sinner seeking God's Almighty will

This should help you in your new life of serving Jesus Christ, and avoiding the impulse to "ride the pipe". Stay strong, and I will be praying with you. I am proud of you, so far.

Re: Our policy on avatars
I would not sully this Godly place with pictures of my womanhood. I was brought up to believe in modesty and I know how heavy is the burden of Eve's First Sinning. This is no place to be inflaming manly lust and fornication and I would rather willingly submit to my husband's leather, than go against his word.
Matthew 5 27-28 'But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.'

I hope that was helpful, dear.

Re: Our policy on avatars
Sir,
Despite my recent rant, I do want to say that I am encouraged to see that you are here. I may not agree with you..... but I am glad you are here.
Please forgive my forthrightness and allow me to interject something.
I am A TRUE CHRISTIAN. I believe the Bible is HIS WORD.. (The Words of GOD, that is).
They are infallible, they are true and they are Holy
I believe that our country needs men like you (and hopefully me) to stand up and lead the next generation TOWARDS JESUS...instead of (What's really happening) away to themselves and their perverse and idolatrous ways.
I am with you...... but now it is ANYONE but Hillary.....
I am with you....... Jesus is LORD..
I am with you...... this country needs help.
Despite my last post. I am sure that you will continue and GOD will bless you in all your ways....
Mostly because you speak the truth and allow anyone to voice their opinion.
Thanks for letting me do that.
God Bless you in all your endeavors.

On other forums, it's like totalllllllllly confusing when you're like talking with somebody and you're trying to picture what they look like and everything, and their avatar is the three eyed fish from the Simpsons!
So anyways, this is really me in my avatar. I wish JESUS had made me cuter, like Miss April or Felicity, but He did let me be a True Christian™, and that's pretty cool!

Re: Our policy on avatars
I've not used my photo as an avatar because it would be unfair to other people who don't fit western standards of attractiveness as well as I do. We should all be of equal attractiveness, and I'm not yet ready to make myself uglier with surgery.
I'd be willing to use a fake avatar to represent myself if I found a good one. Any recommendations?Trigger Warning: the text you have just read may have caused: flashbacks to historical oppression, normalization of whiteness, hegemonic hyper-masculinity (if I must say so myself), assumption of genders, species, and/or status as a living being, other problematic sins which are yet to be discovered and outlawed but I should still be (eventually) punished for.
