I take as my text Matthew Chapter 23. At the time Christ spoke, it was a joyous time, the apostate church of Rome did not exist. To this extent, Christ chose the scribes and Pharisees as the example of a false, apostate and hypocritical movement. Nevertheless, ignoring the words of Christ addressing the multitude, the Mother of Whoredoms took the exactly opposite road to His teachings - they simply ignored this chapter of Matthew.
The anti-Christ and his minions saw how the joos had made money and gained power over the poor, needy and ignorant and so they ignored their own teachings and those of God. Instead of bringing light love and Salvation™, they brought pain, suffering, greed and unholy power to their followers – the church of Rome is their heirs and successors.
I mark here in red, the references to the parallels within the catlick church.
M't:23:1: Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
M't:23:2: Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: [Change Moses’ for Christ’s]
M't:23:3: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do [because God made the law, and this must be obeyed even if it comes from hypocrites.]
]; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. [Pick more or less anything from the evil history of the papists. I know they often try, but how many priests go around being fruitful and multiplying?]
M't:23:4: For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; [Catlick guilt]but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. [The Jesuits always provide an excuse for excess and sin as far as the papists are concerned.]
M't:23:5: But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries [substitute any ritual jewelry worn by priests], and enlarge the borders of their garments, [look at their robes – you don’t get those cheap at Wal-Mart]
M't:23:6: And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,[where would you expect to see the pope and his servants?]
M't:23:7: And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.[Father, Father see verse 9]]
M't:23:8: But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. [as above. It’s all to do with the sin of pride – putting yourself above others.]
M't:23:9: And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. [as above]
M't:23:10: Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. [“Monsignor” for the higher orders otherwise as above]
M't:23:11: But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. [priests think that they are the servants of the pope and may not disobey]
M't:23:12: And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. [A humble yet infallible pope? That’ll be a first.]
M't:23:13: But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. [a perfect description of the apostate church of Rome and its minions deceiving the world into denying Christ and His teaching.]
M't:23:14: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. [How many of the poor, lonely and elderly leave fortunes in their wills to the con-men of the anti-Christ? And all under the cover of “Godliness”]
M't:23:15: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. [Look at the global reach of satan’s powers through the Mother of Whoredoms – converting the heathen to idolatry and the worship of the anti-christ, thus condemning the soul.]
M't:23:16: Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! [Pass the collection plate or don’t receive the death cookie and blood – and if you don’t receive that – according to Ratslinger – you’re done for.]
M’t:23:17: Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
M’t:23:18: And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
M’t:23:19: Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
M’t:23:20: Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
M’t:23:21: And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. [1 Kings 8:13; 2 Chronicles 6:1 ]
M’t:23:22: And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
M’t:23:23: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.[see 16 above, Luke 11:42, and consider those dieing of AIDS and what you could have done to prevent it.]
M’t:23:24: Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. [yet insist in believing that we can only speak with The Lord through the church of Rome or that transubstantiation is real.]
M’t:23:25: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. [How prefect a description is this? A corrupt church filled with lust, greed, anger, etc. preaching to the poor and ignorant. Think how the gold of South America was stolen by slaughter.]
M’t:23:26: Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. [no comment necessary.]
M't:23:27: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones [I know, let’s sell some relics!], and of all uncleanness. [no comment necessary.]
M't:23:28: Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. [see more or less any point above.]
M't:23:29: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, [Have you ever seen catlick churches with their gold and ornaments?]
M't:23:30: And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. [Millions of Christians tortured and killed for their beliefs by the catlicks for not agreeing with them in their apostacy.]
M't:23:31: Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. [See above.]
M't:23:32: Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. [This is said ironically, Christ is say, “Go ahead, behave like you did in the past – let’s see how bad you really are.”]
M't:23:33: Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? [As always, Christ has the best questions!]
M't:23:34: Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: [Did I mention those who died because they had a True Belief™ in Christ? Oh, yes, I did…]
M't:23:35: That upon you [Christ says that all catlicks shall be punished, so that the sins of the false church shall be inflicted upon all those who now follow behind the coat-tails of priests]may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. [For the names of the prophets look to the list of some of the Protestant martyrs, which is too long – look here]
M't:23:36: Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
M't:23:37: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [Where the True Gospel was preached, there was greatest resistance by the catlick church, but eventually, in the same places the judgments of God will be heard the loudest and longest. ]
M't:23:38: Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [Praise!]
M't:23:39: For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.[Christ will return as a judge, and it is then that the papists shall be compelled to confess (although to late) that he is the very Son of God and that they have traduced His Word… and not just say it, but believe it and act upon it. (Just in case you thought empty promises counted.)]
