Hello Gentlemen,
Benjamin White from Lakeland, Florida here. I'm originally from Perry, Georgia. I moved down here from Perry, GA on a job change about 8 years ago.
I wish I had found your site in another way, but at least I found your site. I hope that by reading your words, I can become a better Christian man, like my daddy. When faced with delima, I always try to do what Daddy would do. Daddy said, "Do the right thing, you know what you have to do."
With that said, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 9 years old at Tharpe Memorial Baptist Church on Hwy 41 between Perry and Byron, GA. Brother Conrad Pirkle was my Pastor at the time. (this makes me cry,,,, brings back a lot of memories). Maybe this is good?
49 years old now, divorced, no kids and no direction. I've always believed in God, but sometimes He escapes me. Maybe it's that I escape Him. I believe in being proper, and I believe in being nice. I believe in that what one does in this world will reflect on your outcome. I'm not satisfied with me as a man yet. I want to be like that Jewish carpenter.
I'm at a turning point in my life. No amount of propaganda can turn me one way or the other but I always,,,, always turn to God for an answer. I try to do "what Daddy would do". What Daddy did was what Jesus would do in my eyes. Old school,, I miss it.
Coming from my guts Gentlemen,,, Yes, I am a noobie visiting your site from the "FAP" thread. Sometimes I am very vocal and sometimes I just lurk. If I am not welcomed on here, I understand. I have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and no one can take that away from me.
Ben
