I've had high hopes for you, Seeker, and I still do. I pray that you are still earnestly seeking.

I know trying to get saved can be difficult, with opening your mind to the Bible while closing it to everything else, saving to come up with your down payment for Landover's patented Plan of Salvation, accepting your biblically defined role as a graciously submissive woman, and the countless hours we pastors will spend pounding scripture into you. However, it will be worth it.

Please don't give up now.

The Devil hides behind a facetious tone, just as he hides behind liberalism, homosexuality, evolutionism, Catholicism and Islam.

Allow me to answer your original question and at the same time teach from the New Testament (not that there's any real difference between the two testaments - they are simply two sections of one book written by one author).

The Bible tells us that Jesus did in fact go to Hell and preach to those who had died before and under the Flood:

1st Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1st Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1st Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

This glorious drawing shows Jesus leading the OT saints out of Hell. You can see Adam (with the still uneaten, forbidden fruit), Eve and Moses with the Ten Commandments.

The figure to the left with the triple crown is not the pope, but the Devil wearing the pope's crown (not that I'm able to tell the difference, but that's what the accompanying verse tells me).

Notice the papal arms (the triple crown and the two keys) above the door to Hell.

It's a pity Jesus could only save those, who had died before Noah's time, but He was working within a very short time frame between the Good Friday and Sunday before sunrise.

People who were unfortunate enough to live between Noah's time and 33 AD will simply have to suffer the pains of Hell (and the worm that dieth not) a little longer.

Indeed it does.
And interestingly enough, the Bible says that Jesus went to Heaven (John 13:36 & John 14:2-3) and the Bible says that Jesus went to Hell. (1 Peter 13:18-20)
And since the Bible NEVER contradict itself, it's obviously an example of the Holy Trinity at work; allowing Jesus to be in several locations at once.

I wondered about it myself, since we know that Moses appeared on the mountain, when Jesus was transfigured. This should prove that Moses was one of the few Jews who has been able to whine his way through the Pearly Gates.

The book of Lamentations is Jeremiah's gleeful "I told you so", after God lifted the veil of protection and allowed Nebuchadnezzar to conquer Israel. I was reminded of Lamentations after 9/11 and again after Hurricane Katrina, when Pat Robertson patiently explained to the nation why these things were allowed to happen.
